Hello Everyone. I am @khokonmia From Bangladesh .

Hello Steemians! Hope you are all well. The "Steam for Pakistan"community has organized a wonderful competition. I would like to thank @suboohi madam for leading this beautiful competition, who encouraged me to join. For this competition "One Picture and One Story Week #80" I will share an Eid quoting story without a father. Let's get started.

One Picture and One Story

Mehedi woke up on Eid morning and looked at the cupboard and saw that her father was no more. Those old memories of her father buying her new clothes on Eid came alive in front of her. This time, she knows that her father will not take her to the Eid market, will not buy her a new dress or a Punjabi. Last year at this time, her father bought a beautiful white Punjabi, which Mehedi loved very much. But this time, that Punjabi was not for her, because her father died of a heart attack a few months ago.

Today, Mehedi is alone. Everyone in the family is very happy, wearing new Eid clothes, the house is decorated. But Mehdi felt a void in his heart. He became aware of how hollow the joy of Eid was without his father as he sat there among everyone's laughing and happiness.

When he went out for a walk alone, he suddenly saw an old man who was wearing a white Punjabi. The old man smiled softly and said to him, "Hey boy, where is your father?" Mehdi wiped his eyes and replied, "My father is no more." The old man pulled him a little closer and said, "Eid is actually a time of love, of relationships. I know you are feeling a lot, but remember, your father is always in your heart."

Mehdi had tears in his eyes, but after hearing the old man's words, he felt some peace. For a moment, it seemed that his father was really gone, but his love and memories would be with him. Being with each other in the joy of Eid, standing by each other - this was the true meaning of Eid, which his father had taught him.

Mehdi knows that her father is no longer alive, but on this Eid day, spending some time with a stranger brought back memories of her father and some sense of happiness.
