Election Report of the Mohmandzai Pashto Literary & Reformative Council | A Historic Gathering at Our Hujra

I’m thrilled to share with you the highlights of a remarkable and meaningful event that took place today Friday, 11th July, at our hujra (traditional gathering place) in Umarzai, Ashnagar
A formal election meeting was held by the Mohmandzai Pashto Adabi Islahi Jirga (Mohmandzai Pashto Literary & Reformative Council) under the supervision and leadership of Ghulam Hussain Mohib Sahib With a spirit of unity and mutual consultation, members voted to elect a new cabinet for the upcoming term
ELECTED MEMBERS THROUGH THE COUNCIL ELECTIONS
Six key positions were contested and the following individuals were elected:
President: Jehanzeb Momand
General Secretary: Khan Umarzai
Information Secretary: Shakir Majrooh
Poetry Coordinator (Pangawer): Khadim Shah Khadim
Chairman, Executive Committee: Tayyabullah Khan
Chairman, Advisory Council: Ahsan Tayyar
It is an immense honor for me to mention that the newly elected President, Mr Jehanzeb Momand, is none other than my respected father This is truly a proud and emotional moment for our family His dedication to literature, reform, and unity has now been recognized by the community through this leadership role.
EXTENDED CABINET FORMED BY THE NEW PRESIDENT
After consultation with fellow members, the newly elected president formed the rest of the cabinet as follows:
Chief Patron: Aurangzeb Umarzawal
Patron of Youth Circle (Jalbul Ashnagaray)
Senior Vice President: Sher Muhammad Wafa
Vice President: Habibullah Tajik
Deputy General Secretary: Mukammal Shah Aajiz
Joint Secretary: Asif Bismil
Media Cell: Zia-ul-Haq Zia
Assistants: Sheeda Umarzai, Asif Dastan
Executive Committee Members: Ajmal Shah Sadiq, Khizr Hasrat, Mustafa Kamal
Advisory Council Members: Murad Ali, Ashfaq Ahmad, Aurangzeb Umarzawal, Muhammad Ali Zeb, Sardar Hussain
REFLECTIONS ON THE GATHERING
The entire event was carried out in an organized and respectful environment, reflecting the literary maturity and cultural strength of our community It was more than just an election—it was a renewal of our commitment to Pashto language, literature, unity, and reform
Hosting such a meaningful gathering at our own hujra added a layer of pride and connection for our family and all attendees The selection of my father as President made it even more special.
