VISIT TO FAISAL MOSQUE
Greetings dear Steemit friends
I hope you are all in the Best of health and happiness
Today I am excited to share my visit to one of the most iconic landmarks of Pakistan the majestic Faisal Masjid located in Islamabad
This beautiful MosQue is not only a place of worship but also a masterpiece of Islamic architecture that attracts people from around the worlD
A Short History of Faisal Masjid
Faisal Masjid is located in Islamabad the capital city of Pakistan and is considered the largest mosque in the country It was named after King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia who funded its construction as a gift to the people of Pakistan The mosque was designed by a Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay and its construction started in 1976 and was completed in 1986 Unlike traditional domed mosques Faisal Masjid has a unique tent shaped design inspired by the desert tents of Bedouins Its four tall minarets stand at a height of 90 meters making it one of the most iconic landmarks of Pakistan The mosque can accommodate tens of thousands of worshippers at a time both inside and in its courtyard
Inside the Prayer Hall
When I entered the mosque the peaceful atmosphere immediately touched my heart
The main prayer area is wide and beautifully designed with soft carpets where worshippers gather for Salah
The sound of the Adhan echoes inside creating a deep sense of spirituality that makes one feel connected to Allah
A View from the Outside
From the outside the Faisal Masjid looks breathtaking with its unique tent shaped design and tall minarets
I took a picture from the front side which captures its elegance and the surrounding greenery that adds
The Courtyard View
Standing in the open courtyard I was amazed by the way the main building of the MosQue looked
The view of the grand white structure against the backdrop of the Margalla hIlls was a scene worth capturing
I took a picture from here which reflects both the beauty of the mosque and the natural scenery around it
The Golden Chandelier
Inside the MosQue hangs a beautiful round chandelier right in the centeR of the prayer hall
It glows warmly creating a royal yet peaceful feel in the entire hall
I could not resist taking a photo of it as it is one of the most eye catching features of the mosque interior
Faisal Masjid at Sunset
As the day was ending I waited to capture the mosque during sunset
The sky turned shades of orange and pink casting a magical glow on the white walls of the mosque
It was truly a moment to remember and the picture I took reminds me of the peace and beauty that filled my heart at that time
Faisal Masjid at Night
Later I also captured the mosque at night when it was beautifully lit up
The white walls shined under the lights and the dark sky made the view even more stunning
It felt CalM and peaceful to see the mosque in this quiet and illuminAted setting and the photo I took reflects that magical atmosphere
Visiting the Faisal Masjid was a spiritual and visual delight and I am grateful to have experienced such a serene place
