One Picture And One Story Week #95".

Good day steemians how are we all doing I guess everything is fine. It is a good opportunity for me to participate in this contest in one picture one story and I would love to discuss the picture above just the way it appears.

The picture you see above is a lady trying to advertise her product called Shea butter to the outer world after she has already finished preparing it. Although in Nigeria Shea butter has a different name depending on the language.

So as we are approaching the Harmattan when rain won't fall but the weather will be extremely cold in the morning and there will be a dry and white skin if you did not apply the body cream that will save you throughout the period. During Harmattan the air used to be dry.

So the poor woman that struggles to survive to get her three square meals with her four kids which the eldest is son is just 14 years considering the fact that she is a widow. Her husband has been dead for the past 5 years ever since then she has been raising the children alone all the family members never look out to her and the children.

She never worked at any place when her husband was alive because he wanted her to be a full time housewife. A few months after he died the children stopped going to school for a whole year because the family bread winner is no longer alive to cater for them. At this point she had no choice then to be the bread winner of the family.

She begins to search for a job for weeks which will surely be stressful for her at last she landed a cleaning job in a government secondary school her salary will be 30,000 Naira which is very small for her not to talk of the children combined together but she had no choice but to accept the job so that dey can survive for the main that she will get a better job. So she was asking to resume her job on Monday.

She started the job and was giving the school exactly the kind of job they expect from a cleaner she was hardworking and fast at what she does. After a few months at her work place she pleaded with the management to help her increase her salary but they turned her down. She then continued the job till the end of the year when she promised herself to quit the job and look for a better job offer.

After the year ends she quit the job at the senior secondary school not because she had another job but because of the little salary she is earning. So after she quit her job she was thinking of going looking for a job again then something hit her mind that what if she creates her own job and gets herself paid.

Then she comes up with an idea of buying and selling Shea butter in the market that is not far from her house and this was the life changing moment for her family she begins to make profit and earn more than the salary that she's being paid for the in cleaning job and she was able to send her children back to school.
