Landikotal Is a place full of hIstory and beauty located near to Peshawar In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Last week I went there wIth my famIly for a one day tour It was a sunny day and the mountaIns looked so grand We were all very excIted to explore

I saw this amazing historical monument It was a tall structure with writing in Urdu on it I felt drawn to it right away I love history and learning about the past so I took a picture of it The writing tells a powerful story of loyalty and love for Pakistan

This monument symbolIzes the unwaverIng love and loyalty of Shinwari, Afridi and Shilmani trIbesmen towards Islam and Pakistan. For the expossed their deep resentment by fIercely protestIng on the vIsIt of Pandat Jawahir Laal Nehru In his capacity as the PrIme MInIster of the Interim Government of British IndIa on the 20th of October, 1946 whIle they greeted Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as the Governor General of Pakistan on the 14th of AprIl, 1948 wIth great fervour and respect, at thIs very Place

ThIs monument Is called Yadgaar e Wafa whIch means the Memorial of FaIthfulness It honors the brave trIbesmen from the Shinwari, Afridi and Shilmani tribes TheIr love for Islam and PakIstan was very strong

The story on the monument is from a long tIme ago In 1946 Back then IndIa was not yet dIvided The leader of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru came to vIsIt thIs area The trIbesmen knew he dId not support the Idea of Pakistan so they protested fIercely agaInst his visIt They showed theIr deep anger and made It clear they wanted a separate homeland
Then just two years later In 1948 their dream had come true Pakistan was created The great leader QuaideAzam Muhammad Ali JInnah came to thIs very same place Now the trIbesmen were fIlled wIth joy and respect They greeted him wIth great fervour and love as the fIrst Governor General of Pakistan

This monument stands to remind us of that journey from protest to celebration It symbolizes the unwavering loyalty of these brave people They knew what they wanted and they fought for it with their hearts

My famIly also enjoyed the trIp My younger brother asked many questIons about the monument I told him this story and we both felt proud My parents were happy to see us Interested In our herItage I will always remember this day It was not just a tour but a lesson In love and prIde for our country I hope to vIsIt more such places In the future and learn more about Pakistans great hIstory

This pIcture Is now a precious memory for me Every time I look at It I remember the beauty of LandIkotal and the courage of our people I am grateful for thIs experience and for my family who made It specIal
