Door Knob Restored

Being the man in the family means I had to do the fixing m, my wife knows how to and usually we do it together, two minds is better than one as they said but this morning, she got busy in preparing breakfast that is why I did it alone.

New door knob on my door

Our door knob had been broken for two years, the handle went off but since we didn't have a door knob replacement that moment, we keep saying "pwede pa ni" out way of saying it can still work, or it can still be used since we also had a back up lock inside which makes me and my wife confident that we are safe. Anyway, we don't have much at home that we only use the lock at night when the whole family sleeps.

When I was at the peak of my scrap buying career, I was able to find a brand new and sealed door know b and I know it would be perfect foe my main door. I tried to change the door knob right away but the wife stopped me until days passed by and we did not notice that it had taken too long already and the old door knob gave up, making it very hard to open the door.

This time I was determined to do it, I never changed door knobs before but I saw my friends do it several times and also, I watched video tutorials that enhanced my knowledge boost my confidence.

I aimed to see the manual first, this is to ensure that I know what to install first and what to do next, and honestly I find it hard but fulfilling. I am happy fo the result it turned out and now we won't have a hard time opening the door and locking them.

The set had three keys, I kept one, handed one to my wife and hid one for the family to reach when we would choose to lock the door.

I am pretty proud of what I did today.
