Today I am writing about an interesting and knowledgeable contest which is launched by @crismenia all time my favourite topic ""Recipe of the Day. Week No. 71"" So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic
Today I am going to share the recipe of Mixed Veg with all of you. This recipe is very tasty to eat and the best thing is that it can be made by mixing just a few ingredients and a wonderful vegetable is prepared.
The ingredients we have taken to make this vegetable are as follows:
Capsicum
Cabbage
Carrot
Green peas
Beans
Tomato
Onion
One small potato
Green chilli
Coriander leaves
Cashews
Spices
Salt
Chilli
Coriander powder
Kashmiri chilli
Turmeric
Khatai
Garam masala
Cumin
Asafoetida
Cloves
Small cardamom
black pepper
Method
First of all, we washed all these vegetables and kept them in a separate vessel. So that their water dries up, then cut these vegetables into thin medium sized equal pieces.
When the vegetables were cut, we kept the pan on the gas to heat the oil. Because we prepare this vegetable by frying it, we first half fry it. We do half frying so that its crunch remains. The vegetable does not dissolve completely when all the vegetables are mixed.
First of all, we fry the hardest vegetables, like carrots, potatoes. Vegetables which take more time to fry. Fry all the vegetables and keep them aside.
Then we prepare the gravy of this vegetable. This is a dry vegetable, but we prepare it by adding it to the gravy.
Method of making gravy
To prepare the gravy, first of all, put oil in the pan, when it gets heated well, then add cumin seeds and asafoetida to it, then add medium sized chopped tomatoes, onion and green chillies, fry for a while, after that add spices.
We will add all the spices little by little and add cashews, then cover it and let it cook. After 15 to 20 minutes, when the onion and tomato become soft and the spices mix together, then we will turn off the gas. We will keep it aside to cool down. When it cools down, then we will grind it finely in a mixer.
After that, take a pan and pour oil in it. We will temper cumin seeds and asafoetida and we will fry the paste that we had prepared. Because there are some spices mixed in it, we will add a little spices in the same proportion which will give a perfect taste to our vegetable.
Final step
When this gravy starts leaving oil, then we will add one or two spoons of cream in it so that the gravy shines and becomes a very smooth gravy. When it starts leaving oil, then we will add the fried vegetables which we have already fried and then mix it well.
When all the vegetables are mixed well, then we fry it for 5 minutes and then add garam masala at the end and turn off the gas. Our vegetable mix veg is ready.
