
Required ingredients

Rice | 1 kg |
Chicken | 1/2kg |
Biryani masala | 1 small packet |
Onion | 2 large |
Tomato | 3 medium |
Green chillies | 5-6 |
Tamarind | 40-50 gram |
Lemon | 3-4 |
Yogurt | 1 cup |
Red chilli flakes | 1.5 tea spoon |
Black pepper | Half teaspoon |
Salt | 2 tablespoons |
Cumin | 1 tablespoon |
Coriander seeds | 1 tablespoon |
Cinnamon | 3-4 sticks |
Food colour | 1 teaspoon |
Step by step guide
It's a first step in which we are going to marinate chicken by adding spices in which there is yogurt, lemon, biryani masala,red chilli powder, tumeric powder for colour and salt and we will thoroughly mix all ingredients and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Frying onion | Adding tomatoes |
Cut onions into slices or chop them as I have chopped both onions and tomatoes and then first I take oil and fry onions and then I have added garlic ginger paste and tomato which are also chopped and let it cook for 10 minutes.

All spices except green chillies we will add at this stage because green chillies will be added at end of gravy preparation.After cooking spices for 5 minutes I have added marinated chicken.

For getting a sour and amazing taste I am adding secret ingredients in chicken Biryani in which first there is tamarind juice,then yogurt and lemon juice and then I covered it with lid and let it cook for 20 minutes so that chicken may become tender in that time.

Adding green chillies | Mixing food colour |
At last I have added green chillies in gravy and then I take two table spoon of milk and two table spoon of vinegar for mixing it with one teaspoon of lime food colour and this is final look.

Boiling rice | Staining water |
For boiling rice I have taken cinnamon sticks and salt with some oil and vinegar and let water boil with these ingredients because it gives aroma to your rice as well help them keeping fresh and separated so then I add rice and stain water with stainer after they get boil.

Layering | Adding food colour |
I added first layer of rice and then other layer of chicken gravy and repeat this layering two times.At final layer I spread food colour and then cover it with lid for 5 minutes at a very low flame.
