I am Emuhasan from Bangladesh. I have just started my steemit journey and my husband is helping me much. I am learning day by day and he is really inspiring me. This is the first post in this beautiful community.
I'm housewife and mom, I am cooking food daily for my family for that reason I thought if I share my Bengali recipes here, everyone will like it. So I will regularly work in this beautiful community.

Let's talk about today's recipe. We eat various types of vegetables every day, but most of the time we throw away the peels of these vegetables. You will be surprised to know that the peels of most vegetables are edible and they are very nutritious. Gourd peels contain a lot of fiber, which aids in digestion and relieves constipation. Moreover, gourd peel contains vitamins and antioxidants that help keep the body healthy. It also contains vitamin C and zinc, which are good for skin and hair. So it wouldn't be good if we threw away such a wonderful nutritious food. That's why I tried cooking the gourd without throwing away the skin, and I'll show you how I did it.

Required ingredients:

  • A gourd peel
  • Potatoes 250gm
  • Onion 2 pcs
  • Tomatoes 1 PC
  • Green chili to taste
  • One teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Soyabean Oil 2 teaspoon

First, I took a gourd and peeled off all its skin. Then I cut the gourd peel into small pieces and put them in a basket. Then I washed them thoroughly.

Now I chopped two onions and cut them into small pieces and cut 250 grams of potatoes into pieces. Then I washed them and put them in a sieve. Then I prepared the other cooking ingredients.

Now I put a frying pan on the stove and poured a generous amount of soybean oil into it, then added the chopped onion and fried it.

Now I added the sliced potatoes and pumpkin peel.

At this stage, I added yellow chilies and all the spices.

This time I kept stirring the integrants for 15 minutes and waited until it was well fried.

Our delicious gourd skin is fried, now it's time to serve.
