Greetings to you all, my friends in the house. It gladdens my heart to share with you this wonderful post of my day; it was almost all from the kitchen.

The morning was a beautiful one for me and the family as I went to the food store and bought beans for the making of the moi moi recipe. So it was another day in my life that I wanted to make moi moi for my kids, so I went ahead to prepare it. The morning stage was that I put the beams into water for time; it helps me to remove the shalve from it before going to the grinding mill so that I can grind it. I also went and bought the ingredients for the preparation.

The following were the ingredients for my Moi Moi recipe:

• Red Oil
• Crayfish
• Water
• salt
• Bean
• folding leaves (nkong ayah)
• Maggi
• Tomato
• Onions
• Dry Fish
After gathering all the ingredients in the morning, I make sure everything is set.

The next step was in the afternoon; I went to grind the beans at the grinding mill. It was giving me a small challenge because the machine was not functioning well, so I waited for some time before it started working, and then they grinded it for me.

Coming back to the house, I started to prepare the other ingredients. It was a little bit stressful preparing the ingredients. After that was another stage of mixing all the ingredients with the grinded beans.

My activities entered the evening as I began to wrap the mixed bean into the local leaves and fold it and put them in the pot. It takes me a little time to finish wrapping the moi moi using the local leaves known as nkoñg ayà in my local language.

It was the final stage. As I finished wrapping it, I put the pot on the fire. It was a wonderful moment and a remarkable time. This kind of food ,I did it 1 year ago and now am introducing it to my family so that it will help us nutritionally.

It was done, and I dropped it down, allowing it to be cold before sharing it with my kids and one of my neighbors to test it.

Health Benefits of Moi Moi

• It improves the heart rate.
• It reduces appetite by making you drink more and more water while feeling full.
• It’s an antioxidant.
• Helps to reduce cancer risk.
• It is a source of energy to the body.

So I advise families to be cooking moi moi at least 2 times a week.
