🌺peace be upon you to all Steemit iron-chef !🌺 |

Alhamdulillah I am completely fine by the grace of Allah and I hope that all my siblings are fine and enjoying the summer days. 😝 I really enjoy participating in this contest because here I get to see different recipes from myself and everyone else and also share my own recipes with everyone. I made a pulao with mutton and potatoes, the recipe of which I want to share with you guys. By the way, I could have made this with just mutton biryani, but there are some people or children in the house who don't like eating mutton, so because of them, I have added potatoes so that the taste of both is mixed and everyone in the house can enjoy this recipe of mine with joy. So friends, wasting any more time, I will share my 😋 recipe with you all.
Here are the ingredients |
---|
Sr | Ingredients | Quantity |
---|---|---|
1 | 🥔 potato | 1Kg |
2 | Mutton | 1.5kg |
3 | 🍚 Rice | 1.5kg |
4 | Red chilli flakes | 4 teaspoon |
5 | green chilli | According to the test |
6 | 🧂salt | 1 tablespoon |
7 | Hot spice | 1 teaspoon |
8 | Bnaspati ghee | 3 cups |
9 | 🍅Tomatoes | 2 medium size |
10 | 🧅 Onion | 3 medium size |
11 | Garlic 🧄 or Ginger | 1 tablespoon |
🍚Step i🍚
Bismillaherahmanuraheem!
washed the mutton and then added water to it and put it on the stove to boil. By the way, mutton and beef take a long time to boil. If we boil it without a pressure cooker, then we should boil it on the stove by pouring water in a simple pot. It takes more time. Therefore, we can add some drops of lemon juice and jaggery to it, due to which it boils quickly. I have always boiled the meat that I have in this way. I have never used a pressure cooker because the meat is boiled well in it, but the test that is done on it is completely lost. Therefore, if we boil it in a simple indigenous way by placing it on the stove, its test also remains stable and the boil is also done well. And my mother ate me the same way because my mother never boiled meat in a pressure cooker either. I boiled the meat well and put it to one side. After that I have also peeled the potatoes well and cut them into long slices.
🍚Step ii🍚
Then, as before, I put the pan on the stove and added ghee to it. As soon as the ghee was hot, I added the chopped onions to it. Friends after that I fried the onions well for about three to four minutes and after frying I added ginger and garlic paste to it and started frying it well. After changing colour of onions to light brown, I pour some water in it.
🍚Step iii🍚
I added tomatoes and green chilies to it. I mostly make rice with green chilies because the red chilies are not very good for health. When I had fried the tomatoes and green chilies well, I added two teaspoons of red chili 🌶️ flakes and salt as per my test and started frying it well.
🍚Step iv🍚
The spices were well fried, I added the boiled mutton to it and mixed it well. After mutton mixing properly, I fried it for one minute. After frying, I put potatoes which I was sliced. After this, I mix potatoes and mutton. Fried it for five minutes.
🍚Step v🍚
Friends when the spices, potatoes and mutton were well fried, I added water to it. So friends I had two bowls of rice, so I added four bowls of water to it and set it aside to cook. When water start to boil , I washed rice to remove dust and put karahi.
🍚Step vi🍚
So guys after adding all the rice, I mixed it well and then left it to cook for a while. You can see guys water was drying up.
🍚Step vii🍚
Water was completely dry, I prepared to put it on the slow flame. I put the rice on a low flame for 15 to 20 minutes, covered it with a napkin and placed it on the stove. I was so tired After that fry for 10 minutes. You can see that my potato and mutton pulao is ready. This looks so beautiful Masha Allah.
🍚Final picture:🍚
I served it with salad 🥗

So nice of you sharing your recipe with us. You're a great chef I must admit.
Keep steeming.
Thank you so much for your nice comment ☺️.
Hello friend, I'm glad you shared a traditional recipe that's also ideal for the whole family.
Here in my country we have a similar recipe, but instead of lamb we use chicken.
With the potatoes you make it perfect for kids to eat, I hope you enjoyed it.
Thank you for sharing your recipe, greetings and blessings!
Yes friend we also use chicken but occasionally. And this is a really delicious dish that almost everyone in almost every place loves to eat. I'm so happy to know that you liked my recipe so much. Thank you so much for commenting on it. Always be happy. 🤗
It really looks beautiful as you said my friend and delicious too.
I also learnt from your post that green chilli are more beneficial to health than red chilli 🌶.
Is ghee the same thing as oil?
I'll aslo like to know what kalahi is.
Dear friend @juli30 There is a huge difference between ghee and oil. There is a separate test for ghee and oil. Ghee is more greasy so it is more useful in making parathas and oil it is more used to make curry. Ghee is more greasy, so it makes rice much better and tastier, so I only use it to make curries in my routine, and I make rice with ghee and use it in parathas for breakfast. Ghee has a lot of fat, so I don't use it much. Excess fat increases the fat in the human body, so we should reduce its consumption and I have to write a pan.
Thank you for the detailed explanation making me to know the difference between the two.
Hola amiga, your recipe looks delicious, I hope I can try it sometime, even though the lamb takes a long time to cook to make it tender, it is totally worth it.
I love how cooking the mutton separately with whole spices before combining it with the rice deepens the flavor. Adding potatoes mid-way ensures they absorb all the meaty essence without turning mushy. Thanks for sharing with us
Thank you so much sir. For giving me such a nice comment.🥰
