Powering up converts your Steem into Steem Power, giving you more influence and recognition on the Steemit platform, adding value to your votes and generating better curation rewards.

Boost your steem power to unlock more curation rewards, influence and community recognition. More Steem power means more curation rewards, recognition, added responsibilities, and increased influence.

My Current Status

I currently have 3,025.895 Steem power, as shown in the area highlighted with green.

The area highlighted with yellow is the amount of row Steem I am about to convert into Steem Power.

For this post, I wish to power up all the 200 [Two Hundred] Steem. At the end of this power-up, I would be having 3,025 + 200 = 3225 steem power

How to Power-up

Open to your Steemit wallet and activate it using your active key

You will have to enter your user name. In this case, I enterd manuelhooks and my Active key

This will open your Steemit wallet with a new look. The Steem and Steem power section will be activated with a green colour. And a drop-down arrow is waiting for further instructions.

Go to the Steem section.

At this point, the steem section has 200 steem and the drop-down menu provides options like:
Transfer
Transfer to savings
Power Up
Trade
Market

Select Power-up

Enter the amount of Steem you will love to power up and select ok in the confirmation dialogue box.

Go through the confirmation screen and select ok.

Now the steem has been moved to the Steem Power section. This is a confirmation that the power-up process was successful.
