Yes, of course I love all kinds of sweets made from milk.I have loved any dairy-based sweets since I was a child, and I still enjoy eating them.Whenever I have free time, I try to create something new.I often make various kinds of sweets made with milk at home.Everyone in my house loves any kind of sweet food made with milk.Because every Bengali family has a sweet tradition.Every Bengali family serves sweets before the opening ceremony, hence the name "Mishti" which is considered to be the symbol of all auspicious events.And if it's made from any milk, then there's no comparison.Many times at home, my younger sister doesn't want to drink milk directly, so I or my mother make different types of unique sweets with milk for her.Then she eats it with satisfaction, this fulfilling her nutritional needs for milk.Everyone in the Bengali family loves sweets.Since I am a Bengali, I also like sweets very much.I usually make sweets with milk at home, including payesh, curd, sandesh, pudding,rasmalai,rasgolla ,laccha semai, etc.

Today as part of this competition I am making caramel payas made from milk and sharing them with you all step by step.Caramel payas are as delicious to eat asthey are to look attractive and smell outstanding.
Ingredients | Quantity |
Chinigura Polar rice | 1 cup |
Liquid milk | 500gm |
Sugar | 1 cup |
Cardamom | 3 Piece |
Bay leaf | 1 piece |
Nuts | 10 Piece |
Raisins | 10 Piece |
Step 01
- First, I took a cup of polar rice in a bowl. Then I washed it thoroughly with clean water.Then I soaked the rice in half a cup of water for 15 to 20 minutes.Once the rice is thoroughly soaked, I lightly grind it into a powder in a blender.It should be ground in such a way that the rice is in the form of semolina.
Step 02
- Then I put a pan on the stove, added 4 tablespoon of sugar, and melted the sugar lightly to make red caramel.Caramel must be prepared in such a way that it acquires a beautiful color but does not burn. You need to be careful because if the caramel burns, it will give off a bad smell.
Step 03
- Then I added 500 grams of liquid milk inside the caramel.Then I added bay leaves and cardamom one by one.Boil the milk well with all the ingredients for 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 04
- When the milk boils well, I add one and a half cups of sugar and then a pinch of salt.I have boiled the milk well with all the ingredients.Once the sugar has melted and the milk has boiled well, I add the pre-ground polao rice.I boiled the polao with rice well for five to seven minutes.
Step 05
- Then, when the rice is cooked well and the quantity of milk has reduced a bit, I add chopped nuts and raisins.Then I cooked it well for some time.Then, when the paste thickened a little, I took it off the stove.Finally, my caramel payas is ready today.
Step 06
- Finally, the caramel payas is ready, then I put it in a bowl and let it cool for some time.When the payas were cool, I took out a serving bowl and served it beautifully with almonds on top.

First of all, I want to say that today I made delicious caramel payas.It was as attractive to look at as it was delicious to eat.Honestly, the beautiful aroma of the caramel payas will make you want to eat it more.I didn't face any obstacles in making the caramel payas I made today.Because I love to cook, I think cooking is a kind of art.If you use the right amount of ingredients in making anything and cook it carefully and beautifully, it will be truly amazing to eat.I always love to learn new things, so I try to cook different new things in my free time.All my family members are eager to eat this caramel payas when they smell its delicious aroma.Then one by one I invited all my family members to taste this caramel payas.They all ate it, thanked me, and asked me to make it for special occasions.

In Bengali families, all auspicious events begin with sweets.I usually make the caramel payas I made today, and I want to make it again for my little sister's birthday.Because we usually start our birthday celebrations with payas.One of the sweetest payas at birthday parties .Payas is usually served on various social and religious festivals such as Eid ,Puja, Annaprashan, birthday parties.This is a traditional and popular dish that Bengalis serve at all kinds of festivals.So I like to make this delicious caramel payas for all kinds of occasions, especially birthdays and Eid or for Annaprashan.
