Spicy and Yummy Okra and Potato fry with step by step videos
Hello everyone this is Monz from India hope you are doing great and enjoying your days happily, so once again I am here back with my session of New recipes. The Recipe for today is Spicy Okra and Potato fry.
Some people cook for passion and for some people cooking is a responsibility but personally I love cooking and exploring new dishes as cooking is my hobby.
Okra is one of my most favourite vegetable since childhood and I enjoy eating fried okra with both Chappatis and rice. So today we will be preparing Spicy and Chatpati tangy Okra and Potato fry.
Ingredients required for the Recipe

• 250 gms of Okra chopped as shown in video
• 2 chopped potato
• 2 finely sliced onions
• 1.5 table spoons of ginger garlic paste
• 2 green chilies and handful of mustard seeds
• 2 tbsp oil of your choice
• Half table spoon each spice powder (cummin, coriander, turmeric and red chilli powder)
• 3 tbsp of yogurt
Steps for Preparation
Step 1
Take 250 gms of Okra and 2 Potatoes peel the potatoes and chop the okra in long pieces and potatoes in small pieces.
Wash them properly and then take a pan add 2-3 tbsp of oil and then add the chillies and mustard seeds stir them until it becomes golden brown and then add the chopped onions and fry till the onions become little brown in colour.
Step 2
Once the onions turn brown add the chopped potatoes and stir fry it for 10-15 mins then add the chopped Okra and fry them on a medium flame but do not cover it as cover okra will not make the fries crunchy. Then add 1 tablespoon of salt and make a paste of ginger and garlic paste.
Step 3
Once the okra turns brownish red add the paste of ginger and garlic and then one by one add all the spices and mix them with spatula properly. Cover the pan with a lid for 2-3 minutes so that the spices leaves a beautiful aroma .
Finally add the curd to the spices and mix them properly if it sticks to the pan add 6-7 spoons of water and cover the fries for 5-6 minutes until potatoes gets soften.
Finally your Fried okra with potatoes is ready to be served with roti or rice whatever you wish to eat.
Note: Try to eat the fies when its hot as it seems too crunchy and tasty when it is hot and one can get the perfect flavour's taste if eaten hot. Do try this simple yet amazing recipe and share you experience in comments section with me.
