"A salad is not a meal—it’s a celebration of color, crunch, and the quiet joy of eating something alive."

1 - Make a "Caesar Salad"; you can use the recipe presented in this course or any recipe of your choice (detailing the utensils, ingredients, and preparation steps). Include and detail any extra ingredients of your choice to enhance the flavor of your Caesar salad.

Using the the recipe presented in the class, I have made my caesar salad and the result looks amazing.

• Wash the lettuce with a clean water and salt. Allow to drain using a sieve.

• Slice to your desired size, I love it in small size so I sliced it that way.

2 - Did you prepare the recipe taught in the course or improvise one of your own? Tell us about the flavor of your salad? Did it meet your expectations?

Yes, I made the recipe we learned in class, even though I missed a few ingredients. Still, I followed the steps and methods.

I didn't have high expectations for the salad since I had never tried caesar salad before, but for my first time, I think I liked it. The crunchy croutons impressed me; they were so crispy that they made the salad even more appealing. The corn I added as an extra was fantastic, it enhanced the salad and inspired me to try something different from the usual.

The soy sauce made the cream fluffier, and it was great when mixed with the base. I really enjoyed the result and the flavor too.

4 - Do you have any special tips for making this salad? Share them.

Although I'm not familiar with this salad, I've tasted it and found it delicious, so I would still follow these tips. I believe there's no better method to prepare it. The only variation would be in the flavor. You can personalize your dressing, perhaps using egg yolk or yogurt instead of mayonnaise.

Additionally, you can select your own extra ingredient to achieve the flavor you want, but adding croutons will keep your salad crunchy.
