Hope everyone are well and healthy by the grace of Almighty Allah.I am also very well by the grace of the Almighty Allah,Alhamdulillah for that.I am a teacher by profession, a volunteer blood donor. I am a housewife, and alongside that, I am a student and a blogger.I am starting by wishing all my Steemit friends good health. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am very well. Again I come to join the Slc challenge season7/w1.This week task is dessert from grain.So let get started!

Do you think desserts are important at special events?


I definitely believe that sweets or desserts play an important role in special occasions because they symbolize good news, joyful moments, and various cultural rituals. Sweet foods bring us joy and are deeply rooted in our traditions and culture. Whenever we do something good or achieve positive results, the first thing that comes to mind is sweets, which we share among our community, neighbors, and ourselves. In Bangladesh, it is a tradition to consume sweets and share them with others during any good occasion or when receiving happy news.

◼️First, I placed a pot on the stove and added one cup of oil into it. After that, I sautéed 3/4 pieces of cardamom for a while until the aroma came out.

◼️Then I added a cup of semolina to the hot oil and also added sugar, then I fried them well on low heat for a while.Then i put 2 pinch orange food colour and mixed it.Later, I added some milk to it instead of water because my son doesn't like to drink milk, so I mix milk into sweet dishes for him. He was bothering me a lot, which is why I wasn't in the mood to take these pictures. Sorry, I'm sorry.

After giving an adequate amount of food color, I'm very upset about why it didn't turn orange, and it hurts me a lot. However, the taste & aroma has turned out great, Mashallah.

Bason barfi(Gram flour delight)

I love and prefer all kinds of desserts, so this time I have expressed my desire to make this besan barfi. However, let me say right away that the color of my besan barfi didn’t turn out nice, which has shattered my heart and brought me to tears. I prepared everything properly and added food color as needed, yet I cannot understand why it turned out like this. 🥲🥲 Let’s take a look at the process of making besan barfi below.

🟫 First, I took a suitable amount of gram flour in a clear bowl. Then, I added two to three spoons of oil and mixed it well. After that, I added two to three spoons of cow's milk and kneaded it thoroughly with my hands to make it crumbly. Then, I placed it in a container.

🟫Now I have taken a clean and dry pan and placed it on the stove. I will add this grain of roasted rice and roast it on low heat for 5-7 minutes. It should change color from light yellow to golden and continue roasting until the roasted rice grain emits a good aroma.

🟫In another pot, I took 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water and added 3-4 cardamom pods and 2 pinches of food color. I will be making a sugar syrup. It is very important to maintain the right consistency for the best results. After 7-8 minutes, I take some syrup on my finger to check if it's sticky and if a thread forms between two fingers. After checking, it looks perfect, so I turn off the stove.

🟫I have added sugar syrup to the roasted gram flour, added the remaining hot oil, and cooked while mixing continuously for a while.After 4-5 minutes, it started to thicken and after some time of mixing, it comes together, and the entire mixture moves at once with a spatula. Now all the work for making my besan barfi is complete.

🟫Now I pour this mixture into an oiled mold and after 3-4 minutes, it has set well after spreading it evenly.But I am really sad beacuse the colour was not great.🥲

The ingredients used to make besan barfi and the ones used to make suji pudding are all very nutritious. Chickpea flour contains various types of pulses, and it is rich in potassium and magnesium, which are very beneficial for our health. Milk contains calcium and iron, which are beneficial for our bodies in various ways. Then there are almonds; the oils and fats present in them are very beneficial for children in their growing years and also highly beneficial for elderly people. I made a small amount today because my father is a diabetic, so he consumes very little sweet food. Everyone should consider both the positive and negative aspects of eating different foods and consume them in moderation.
