I am starting by wishing all my Steemit friends good health. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am very well. I will participate in a great contest with recipes in steemit Iron Chef community. The theme of today's contest is Contest Recipe of the day week#70. So let's get started.

Beef Tehari Recipe

Today I will share with you the recipe of Beef Tehari in our country's Bengali style rice cooker. Beef Tehari is very delicious to eat. My husband and I love to eat this food. Anyway, what I need to make this recipe is given below.

Ingredients required:

Sugar-coated rice1 kg

Chili powderOne tablespoon

Ginger pasteTwo tablespoons
Garlic pasteOne and a half tablespoons
Beef spiceHalf packet
Biryani spiceHalf packet
OilAs much as you like
SaltAs much as you like
Bay leavesThree to four
Hot spicesas much as you like

Preparation method:

  • Step 1: Wash the meat thoroughly with clean water in a bowl. Put the meat in the bowl in which you will cook the meat, add one cup of chopped onion, salt, chili powder and all the spices as much as you like.

  • Second step: Now add bay leaves and enough oil and mix it well with your hands. Then marinate it for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Third step: Now put the pot on the stove and mix it well. While putting it on, the heat of the stove must be reduced. While putting it on, add half of the biryani masala and the remaining half will be added later while cooking the rice.

  • Fourth step: Once it is mixed, add a little water and cook the meat well until it is cooked. Of course, you cannot keep the broth in the meat.

  • Fifth step: Now soak the rice in water for a while, clean it and wash it.

  • Sixth step: Since I will cook today's recipe in a rice cooker. So, in the cooker, add a little ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, remaining one cup of chopped onion, salt, oil and biryani masala and mix it well with your hands again.

  • Seventh step: Now add 2 liters of water to 1 kg of rice and cook it in the cooker until the water dries up and the rice is cooked.

  • Eighth step: When the water dries up, add the cooked meats and stir and let it simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.

  • Ninth step: After 25 minutes, add ghee and give it a stir. When it is done, remove from the stove and serve.
