Contest Alert: My bargaining tactics
Hi steemit community!
📍My Thoughts on Bargaining
I don't like it when someone is selling something and they don't tell me the price right away. I want them to be straightforward about the price. That way,I know what I'm dealing with and we can negotiate if needed. Being upfront about the price helps both the buyer and the seller understand where they stand.
📍Am I a good bargainer?
I think I'm okay at bargaining. I don't really like negotiating prices a lot, but I know it's part of getting a good deal. I have some tactics that help me get prices I like. I've learned that bargaining isn't just about getting the lowest price. it's about finding a deal that works for both sides.
📍The Tactics I use when bargaining:
📍Walking away: one thing I do is walk away from the deal to see if the seller calls me back. If I think the price is too high, I'll say "Thanks anyway" and start walking off.
Sometimes they call me back and offer a lower price, and we make a deal. The tactics helps me see if they're really willing to sell at a price I like.
📍Pricing them very low: I like to start with a low offer. It's way lower than what I'm actually willing to pay. This gives me room to negotiate up if they push back. Sometimes they surprise me and take the low offer. Starting low tests how flexible the seller is.
📍Not rushing while talking price: I take my time when we're talking about the price. I don't want to seem too eager. I'm considering the deal and seeing how they react. It gives me power in the negotiation. By not rushing,I can think clearly about what I'm willing to pay.
📍Should goods be under bargain or fixed price?
I prefer bargaining. I feel like with a fixed price, you don't have the right to discuss the price 😂. Fixed prices mean "No negotiations." I like making my case for a lower price. It's like a game. I enjoy the back and forth of negotiating when I can.
📍Have I bought things for a higher price because I didn't know how to bargain?
Yes, that has happened to me before. When I didn't know how to bargain or didn't want to haggle.i just paid what they asked. Now I know better. I do research, start low,and stay calm. It helps a lot. I've bought something should knowing how to bargain. I ended up wishing I had haggled more. Now I'm more comfortable in bargaining.
Bargaining is like a dance. You need to know the steps. You need to know when to push for a lower price and when to let it go. Knowing if the seller is in a hurry to sell or need cash can help you make a better deal. Sometimes sellers are more willing to negotiate if they need to sell quickly.
Personally,I like bargaining in person more than online. Because in person, you can read the seller's reactions. You can see if they're happy to deal or stressed about selling. Online, you have to rely on messages or the pictures, which makes it harder to get a feel for the seller's position.
Bargaining also depends on what you're buying. For example, items or things in markets, bargaining is expected. For everyday items in stores, prices are usually fixed. Knowing when bargaining is appropriate is part of the skill.
In conclusion, Bargaining is a skill. The more you do it, the better you get. And like any skill, practice makes perfect. Bargaining can be fun if you approach it like a game or a challenge. It's a way to engage with sellers and get better deals.
