Greetings everyone and hope we are doing well. I am happy to be here again today to be a part of this contest. It’s midnight over here. I rested a little after work, but I decided that I must write today. It’s not easy combining work and writing.

Sometimes I come back from work super stressed, and I still have to help my aunty with work in the house. I see a lot of newcomers do diary game posts, but my camera is bad, so I can’t even take good pictures to use as a diary game, at least to show how hectic my day can be sometimes, but it’s good.

I find this contest interesting, so let’s go ahead with it.

Who is your friend? Why do you choose him/her as your friend ?

I am not the kind of person that has so many friends. I am jovial actually, but I don’t really know how to make friends that much, but I have this friend of mine that I am very fond of. Her name is Mary. Mary was my seatmate in secondary school. We shared the same locker in school.

Initially, we weren’t close because she doesn’t talk much, and she’s very quiet, but with time, she started opening up to me gradually. I am the outgoing one while she’s the quiet one. I chose her as my friend because she’s very intelligent and observant. She’s not a gossip and doesn’t like trouble. She’s a peacemaker and the type of person I like to hang around.

How do you feel when you do not hear from your friend?

I have become so fond of her that if I don’t hear from her in a week, I don’t feel happy. When she has finished secondary school, and she’s currently a jambite like myself, we try to communicate with each other daily, mostly on Whatsap and Snapchat. The days I don’t have days, we will not talk until I am online.

She’s my visiting partner, and we try to talk as often as possible. If we miss talking for some time, we still look for a way to talk. Sometimes I call her with my mummy’s line if I don’t have data or airtime. I don’t feel happy when we often talk, so we have to find a way to connect.

What are those qualities you look at before calling someone your friend?

I am a very jovial person, so I look out for some qualities in someone before calling them my friend. For example, I like people with an open heart who can forgive easily. Some people keep malice a lot and hence don’t make good friends.

I like people who are honest. Someone who tells the truth all the time and not someone who lies a lot. I don’t like lies. I also look out for someone who is selfless and has a good heart.
