Aliganj Stadium and Playground, Narayanganj

Today, I will review a stadium and playground in a place called Aliganj in Narayanganj district using Steem-atlas pin code. The name of the field is Aliganj Stadium. Locally, it is called Aliganj Playground. I have shown the Steem-atlas pin code and the Google Map location of the playground below.

History of Aliganj Stadium or Playground:
Aliganj Playground was first built in 2000 for local football and cricket games. Later, some national football and cricket games were held here. Currently, the renovation work of the field is underway. Bangladesh Football Federation and Narayanganj City Corporation started the development work on the field a few days ago. The work of building a gallery on the west side of the field is underway. In addition, a separate space is being expanded for the players and staff to stay and practice.

There are three gates to enter the field. They have started to demolish the old gates and rearrange them. The construction of a new road from the entrance gate to the gallery is almost complete. When I visited the playground, a group of teenagers were practising football. The field is huge. There is currently a tent on the west side of the field for conducting tournaments and seating players.

A free-standing building is being built next to the field for footballers, coaches and staff.

A modern model mosque is being constructed on the north side of the stadium. In addition, grass has been planted around the field to enhance its beauty. Local football and cricket tournaments are currently being held in this field. Banners announcing the tournament have been put up on one side of the field. Annual football and cricket tournaments of various schools and colleges are held in the stadium. The field is located on the banks of the Buriganga River, which has further enhanced its beauty.

An international standard fitness centre is being built next to the Aliganj Stadium. The fitness centre will be used for training and developing the fitness of the players. There are running and walking areas around the field for the players. In addition to football and cricket, seasonal games such as volleyball are organised in the field.

There is an ice cream and water shop in one corner of the field for players and spectators. There is a pure water system in the scorching heat. There is a place for coaches to sit next to the field during the game. In addition, there is a stage in the stadium to seat guests. Although the field is not internationally recognised, the Bangladesh Football Federation is working on developing the stadium to produce new local players.
