My landlord and I

Friends, today I am going to participate in a wonderful competition organized by the Steem for Lifestyle community. The topic of the competition is "My Landlord and Me". Friends, this subject has touched my heart, because a large part of our life is spent in other people's homes as tenants. Therefore, on this occasion, I want to share my experience and some ideas with you. I hope you like my post today.

Who is a landlord?

To me, a landlord is not just a house owner; he is like a guardian of our temporary life. Maybe if he were not there, I think and wonder what would have happened to us. A landlord is a person who shares a part of their own roof with us, without any hesitation, maybe taking a little money from us in return.

But friends, if this relationship is limited to money, then living in that house is no longer peaceful. Many reasons cannot be explained or ended, but a good landlord not only takes rent, but he also keeps track of our advantages and disadvantages. When is there a need? When there is a danger, he is available for everything. And this is what a worthy landlord does: he keeps track of the winning tenants and stands by them happily and sadly.

My experience in rented houses

In my short life, due to studies and work, I have had to live in rented houses many times. In this long period of my life, I have lived under several landlords, seen the environment of their houses, heard their behavior, and my experience was different in each place. However, I want to talk specifically about my current landlord. I have been living in his house for the last three years.

Honestly, this place is very favorable for me. The house is clean, and the environment is also very calm. So that I can open my mind and breathe a little in comfort like my own home. However, the biggest thing is the behavior of my landlord; his behavior is very good. What I can express in words is that he always speaks so politely that I have never seen any other landlord in my life.

He is a very kind and helpful person. Even if I was late to pay rent, he never behaved badly, but tried to understand my problem. He himself asked why I could not pay the rent this month. I especially liked this thing, so I like him the most. If there is any minor problem in the house, such as a problem with the water line or electricity, he immediately arranges for a solution as soon as I inform him. He himself comes and says in a naked tone, Dad, be patient, everything will be fine. So I think it is really lucky to have such a landlord.

Is it wise to live in the same house with the landlord?

Friends, many people have different opinions on this issue. There is a group of people who always like to catch the details of the problem. However, from my personal experience, I will say that it has both advantages and disadvantages.

The advantage is that if the landlord is nearby, any problem can be resolved quickly, and you can also be somewhat assured about security. Because we live in his house, he has a different responsibility to us, which is his responsibility to fulfill.

However, friends, the disadvantage is not less. Some landlords are overly vigilant, which seems like an interference in personal freedom. You have to be under pressure all the time. So, in my opinion, it is wise to live in the same house with the landlord only when there is a good relationship of mutual respect and understanding between the landlord and the tenant. Only then is there joy in living under the same roof in that house.

Can a tenant sue the landlord?

I think, of course, they can and should. The relationship between the landlord and the tenant is not only human, it is also a legal contract. Because to rent a house, you first have to sign many documents and follow many rules and regulations. So, according to that contract, the landlord has to ensure the safety, repair and livable environment of the house.

If a landlord neglects to perform his duties despite repeated warnings, and due to that negligence, there is a major loss to the life or property of the tenant, then, of course, the tenant has the right to take legal action. This not only protects the rights of the tenant, but it also makes other landlords aware of their responsibilities. May the nation not make such mistakes in the future.

So friends, at the end of the day, if the relationship between the landlord and the tenant is made on mutual respect and trust, then the rented house can also become a place of peace like its home. It is completely up to you.
