Amidst the concrete jungle, traffic jams and dusty roads of Dhaka city, there are some places where people can play, laugh and take a breather from their busy lives. One of those places is East Court Arena. This modern arena located in Aftabnagar has become a trusted name among sports lovers in a very short time.

I myself went to play there for the first time from Mirpur. The long journey, the fatigue of traffic jams, everything was forgotten in a moment when I ran onto the turf. The feeling of kicking the ball under the floodlights was like playing in an international arena, not in Dhaka.

Travel from Mirpur: Take a bus from Mirpur 10 to Malibagh, from there it can be easily reached by CNG/rickshaw.

Public Transport: You can reach it via Basabo, Malibagh or Rampura.

East Court Arena was born out of a love for sports. Some young entrepreneurs and sports enthusiasts from Aftabnagar started this project a few years ago.

Their dream was to build an international standard turf arena in the middle of the city. The goal was to create easy opportunities for young people to play sports. One of its objectives was to create a place where corporate, university and friend group matches could be organized. Today, it has become a reality and East Court Arena has already successfully organized numerous matches, tournaments and events.

There is no separate entry fee here. If you want to play, you have to book on an hourly basis. The rent of the football field varies depending on the time. The charge is relatively consistent with other turf stadiums. The rent may be a little higher during special tournaments or events.

We had a game between two teams. This can be called a gathering of our pronunciation artist group. And we rented the field by the hour. We rented the field for one and a half hours, for which we had to pay Bangladeshi Taka 2000. Its Steem price is 119.50 Steem. Even though it costs more money, I got a free environment here. Along with such a beautiful playing area that really made my heart feel good.

It is open from morning to night. Night matches are the most popular. There are no specific holidays; games are played only if there is a booking.

The day I left Mirpur, the fatigue of the long journey was gone in an instant. While running on the turf, I felt like I was playing on a small football ground in Europe. The experience of scoring a goal in the cold morning air was extraordinary. All my friends who played together said that playing on this field makes your mind different. What I liked the most was the cleanliness and security. While playing, I didn't feel like I was in the busy city of Dhaka; rather, I felt like I had come to a different, quiet place.

East Court Arena is not just a turf field, but it is an inspiration. In a busy city where sports venues are decreasing day by day, East Court Arena is a dream venue for young people. If you are a football lover, want to have fun with friends, or want to organize a tournament, then East Court Arena is the ideal place for you.

I personally think that this arena in Aftabnagar will one day become the biggest sports center for the young generation of Dhaka.
