Where is it located and how to get here?

Mirpur 10 roundabout in Dhaka is one of the busiest areas in the city. With traffic jams, crowds of people, car horns and street shops, this area is bright day and night. Taqwa Restaurant is located right in the middle of this busy area. The location of the shop will be visible after just a few minutes walk from the roundabout.

For those who use the metro rail, it is even easier. Once you get off at Mirpur 10 metro station, you can reach it in a few minutes by taking a rickshaw or auto. Almost everyone in the area knows Taqwa Restaurant; so it is easy to get directions.

A brief history of the place

Takwa Khanapina started its journey as a small shop about ten or twelve years ago. Initially, the owner's main goal was to provide people with filling food at low prices. At that time, only bread and minced meat were on the menu of the shop. Gradually, the number of customers started increasing. Students, workers, and employees - everyone started coming to find good food at affordable prices.

This popularity helped Takwa grow gradually. Today, it is one of the most well-known names in Mirpur, especially in the evenings, when a fair takes place here.

Provide clear details about their activities. How many employees are engaged in what work?

The restaurant has about 8-10 employees working regularly. There are 2 people engaged in making bread. They keep making bread continuously, so that there is never a shortage. 3-4 people work in the kitchen, who handle beef, chicken and other dishes. 2-3 people are engaged in service, who serve food and keep the tables clean.
Sometimes, additional assistants are also brought in to handle the extra crowd.

The daily picture is that the busyness of making bread starts after evening. Hot bread is being taken out of the pan, and meat is being grilled next to it, the smell of mixed smoke and spices spreads all around.

What are the facilities like?

There are a few tables and plastic chairs inside the shop. If it is crowded, you can also sit on the benches outside. However, many times people eat standing up, because it is difficult to handle the pressure of the crowd. Bottled water is available, as well as ordinary water jars. Even though it is a street shop, the staff regularly sweeps and wipes the tables. However, due to the crowd, it is not always possible to keep it sparkling clean. Since the shop is on a busy street, there are lights all around, so it feels safe.

Providing a clear idea of food taste reviews and pricing.

The atmosphere at Taqwa Khanapina is actually like a typical street food shop in Dhaka.

Open space, crowded with people all around. Even though it is sweaty in the heat, the open atmosphere is quite enjoyable in the winter. The shop is always illuminated by electric lights. There is a fan hanging inside, although it is not always cool due to the crowd. The smoke from the tawa, the aroma of spices, the noise of people - all of this creates a kind of bustling atmosphere here.

Review the food preparation process

The scene of food preparation is a distinctive feature of Taqwa.

On a large tawa, bread is being baked on one side, while meat is being fried on the other. The bread makers are making bread one after another at an incredible speed. A pungent smell spreads all around while the meat is cooking.

In the case of chicken fry or tawa chicken, it is fried with spices right in front of the customer, so the food is served fresh in front of the customer.

Presenting the menu list

Rumali Roti: Thin, soft, warm bread. You can feel the softness in just one bite.

Shredded Beef: Cooked with lots of spices, onions and chillies. Perfect for spicy lovers. Goes great with hot roti.
