Basic Education of Mapala Alaska (Diksar)

The Basic Education or Diksar of Mapala Alaska is a crucial stage in the recruitment process for new members of the Nature Lovers and Environmental Student Activity Unit (UKM PA-LH) ALASKA, under the auspices of Universitas Islam Kalimantan (UNISKA). This program serves as a platform for building character, physical endurance, mental strength, and foundational knowledge about nature conservation and environmental awareness.
Now entering its 19th generation, as shown in the “H-1 Diksar Angkatan XIX” poster, the Diksar is a test of readiness for prospective members to fully join the organization. With the theme “Building the Character of Nature Enthusiasts Who Are Resilient, Tough & High Achievers,” this event emphasizes the importance of fostering perseverance, strength, and excellence.
During the training, participants undergo intensive theoretical and field-based sessions, including land navigation, survival skills, first aid (PPGD), rock climbing techniques, ecosystem introduction, and more. Mental coaching is also a core aspect, ensuring that each participant can act quickly, accurately, and responsibly in various outdoor challenges.
The objective of Diksar goes beyond testing physical limits; it instills a sense of brotherhood, organizational loyalty, and environmental care. Those who successfully complete the training earn the honor of becoming full members of Mapala Alaska, actively contributing to exploration, conservation projects, and community service.
Through rigorous training and the cultivation of noble values, Diksar Mapala Alaska lays a strong foundation for youth who are passionate about nature and are prepared to be at the forefront of environmental preservation efforts.
