🏆 My Journey to Becoming the Top Player in Steem Retro Cup Week #32 🏆
This was a very special week of my Steem Retro Cup history because I finally became the Top Player of Week #32. Even more satisfying to this victory is the path he has gone to achieve it. The previous week I was a hard working person and yet I attained the second position thus I was both inspired and challenged to exert more effort. This week, I had my eyes on the very top and I am happy to report that it was a success as I won with a total of 224, 211 contest points!
One of the most thrilling events here on the blockchain is the Steem Retro Cup which is a combination of fun and healthy competition as well as huge reward. I was able to take part in Steem Pong, which was one of three games in the challenge in this edition. Every game possesses its own coefficient to level out the score, and in the case of Steem Pong, the multiplier renders it extremely rewarding to the regular players. That is one of the factors that inspired me to push hard until I got the best position.
Looking at the final leader board, I am really proud of the work I did. I scored 224,211 contest points and was on the first position, then there was @kabirul4922 who scored 117,351 points at the second position and then there was the third ranked person by the name of @baizid123 with 82,248 contest points. There were other formidable rivals such as @aburihan1 (64,405 points), @ahsansharif (2,609 points) and @mamun123456 (1,263 points) who also were doing their best during this round. When all these scores are put together, it does not mean that the contest is simply about winning but the important thing is to participate regularly and the spirit of community.
The most significant thing to me about this victory is that it was not easy to achieve. Only a week ago I was in second place. I would have been discouraged by that outcome, but it provided me with fire. It also helped me remember that sometimes in our lives we come so close to achieving whatever we want to achieve not because we cannot do it, but because we still need to improve. I took that lesson to heart. I reviewed my gameplay, learned how to play better and most of all, I devoted myself to work harder this week. The outcome is obvious, I have moved up and become the first out of the second, which only proves that everything may be changed with the help of the power of will and persistence.
It was a reward in itself to play Steem Pong itself. Those who have never played the game may not understand it, but it is a classic retro challenge that needs patience, keen eyesight and timing. Each bounce of the ball teaches you a lesson of rhythm and constancy, every turn. I initially did a couple of mistakes but I never gave up, rather, I reminded myself that every failure is practice towards a second attempt. The attitude enabled me to continue getting better until I was in a position to develop a good score that could help me reach the top.
The personal life lesson that I have brought with me to my life after playing Steem Pong is a basic, but a strong one: Consistency and persistence always pay off. However many times you fail to achieve, when you keep training, keep attending and even believing in yourself, you will finally achieve your target. With the event this week, contest was not only about gaming but it was also a symbol of resilience and I am thankful of that.
This is because now that I have finally experienced the sweet flavor of the first place, I have more than ever the desire to maintain the position. The competition becomes tougher and tougher with every passing week and I am sure that such players as @kabirul4922 and @baizid123 would definitely reappear even more motivated. I love that as it implies that I will not be able just to rest and take a break; I will have to continue playing, pushing, and advancing. I have a vision of this: I want to win again in Week #33 and keep creating a history of consistency in this competition.
But just before my personal success, I would like to say a few words of gratitude. First, to the amazing team that is behind this contest, @italygame. It is a great thing that you are organizing the Steem Retro Cup week by week. The elaborate regulations, the scoring system with the balance, the Jackpot and even the entertaining community spirit all reveal how much effort you put in making this contest a success. And without your dedication, we players like myself would not be allowed to experience such thrilling moments.
Second, I wish to say a thank you to the support of @booming02, @steemcurator01, and @steemcurator02 who have been helping to promote the players and sustain the growth of the surrounding community. One of the biggest factors that have prompted several of us to continue to strive is their input in the process of content recognition and rewarding. With such great support systems every success becomes more rewarding since you know that your work is noticed and appreciated.
In the bigger picture, winning the Steem rewards or badges is not the only focus of the Steem Retro Cup. It is the discipline, learning how to live, and being linked to an international community of enthusiastic gamers and content creators. To me this week was a wake-up call that life is a game of persistence. As with Steem Pong, the ball will continue to bounce, the challenges will continue to come and you will occasionally miss. However, with perseverance and concentration, you will finally learn to have rhythm and will be the best.
My advice to all fellow participants: do not give up regardless of your position in the leaderboard. You can be a winner or loser, but each game is one to develop, to learn and to get ready to the second round. In my opinion everyone can be a top-rising person, provided he/she is persistently trying.
Well this is Week #32 Cheers to Week #32 of hard labor, fun, and victory. And here the Week #33, another opportunity to fight, to develop, to strive to greatness again.
Thanks, @italygame, @booming02, and, in addition to you, @steemcurator01 and 02, you do all this. We should keep the Steem Retro Cup going, and the players can keep on shining every week! 🎮🔥
