Una delle tante ragioni per cui le guerre scoppiano sono i confini che delimitano i paesi.
In Africa quasi sempre i confini fra un paese e l'altro li hanno definiti le potenze coloniali con un righello e una cartina geografica.

Quando l'Impero britannico lascio' l'India ci furono massacri perche' all'interno di quella zona dell'impero ci vivevano indu' e mussulmani che, una volta finita la tutela britannica, iniziarono a scannarsi.
Cosi' da quella terra nacquero India e Pakistan, poi decenni dopo una parte di Pakistan divenne Bangladesh, ci sono pero' abitanti di differenti etnie in tutti questi paesi come l'odierna crisi del Kashmir dimostra.

Col crollo dell'Unione Sovietica milioni di russi si trovarono infilati dentro ad altri paesi, l'attuale guerra in Ucraina nasce ANCHE dal legittimo diritto di cittadini che si sentono russi di tornare sotto la bandiera della madrepatria.
Del resto anche durante l'Unione Sovietica certi territori, come la Crimea venivano inseriti in una repubblica piuttosto che in un altra, in fondo si era tutti sovietici.
Poi l'Urss crollo' ed inzio' il casino che vi dicevo.
Se i kosovari non vogliono essere piu' parte della Serbia e l'Europa plaude non vedo perche' gli abitanti del Dombass debbano essere trattati in altro modo.

Poi ogni paese agisce come vuole, qualche anno fa c'e' stato il referendum in Scozia per l'uscita dalla Gran Bretagna, vinsero di poco quelli che volevano continuare a restare sotto l'Union Jack ma comunque fu un referendum importante.
Quando ci hanno provato i catalani abbiamo visto come e' andata a finire.

Quando ci fu l'armistizio nel 1918 e l'impero austro ungarico si arrese, le truppe italiane invece di fermarsi continuarono ad avanzare entrando in Alto Adige, Istria e Dalmazia, terre dove gli italiani erano in forte minoranza, dove la popolazione si ritrovò, suo malgrado, a diventare italiana.
Con Istria e Dalmazia abbiamo visto come e' andata a finire.

Una delle rivendicazioni, non del tutto campata in aria, di Hitler fu quella di riannettere territori assegnati ad altri paesi nel trattato di pace del 1918 ma che erano abitati da tedeschi come l'Austria, i Sudeti dati alla Cecoslovacchia, Danzica citta' libera ma dentro la Polonia, dispute che ci portarono alla seconda guerra mondiale.

Possiamo tranquillamente dire che molte guerre nascono e sono nate proprio da dispute su confini tracciati decenni fa, tracciati senza tenere in alcun conto delle popolazioni che abitavano quelle terre.
