I dati riguardanti i primi 6 mesi di turismo a Cuba nel 2025 sono inquietanti.
Calo del 25% rispetto allo scorso anno che gia' non era stato un anno da incorniciare.
Sono sbarcati sull'isola in questi 6 mesi 980 mila turisti, 327 mila in meno rispetto al 2024.
Il turista italiano e' sparito dalla top ten del turismo sull'isola, la cosa non mi stupisce per nulla.

Non e' che l'italiano non va piu' a Cuba, l'italiano (quasi 9 milioni) nel 2025 rinuncia ad andare in vacanza per motivi economici.
Come ho raccontato visto che sono in Emilia Romagna, e come mi conferma il buon Gugu che ha un attivita' commerciale a Cesenatico, se non ci fossero gli stranieri chiuderemo baracca tutti quanti.
Se aspettiamo il turismo italiano finiamo a vivere sotto un ponte.

Tornando a Cuba non possiamo neanche dare la colpa ai 4 imbecilli con una vita disastrata che bivaccano sui social e sui gruppi, consigliando la gente a non andarci, e' gente che sta' sui coglioni anche alla propria madre.
Neanche si puo' parlare del fatto che i prezzi siano aumentati da quel lato del bloqueo, col cambio informale gli aumenti sono stati ampiamente ammortizzati.
Quindi perche'?

L'avvento di Trump un po' di danno lo ha fatto ma neanche troppo.
La nostra stampa quando parla di Cuba lo fa sempre e solo con articoli negativi e terroristici, come se la gente morisse di fame e non si trovasse cibo in giro neanche per il turista, tutte cazzate.
Le agenzie di viaggio sconsigliano l'isola e spesso i loro proprietari non ci sono mai stati.
Los apagones, certo...ma nelle strutture turistiche il problema non si pone, ci sono i generatori cosi' come in molte case de renta, soprattutto le piu' quotate.

Diciamo che il clima generale, in questo momento, attorno all'isola non e' dei migliori, il governo fa la sua parte per cercare di peggiorarlo ulteriormente.
Poi c'e' la gusaneria che habla mierda ad ogni pie' sospinto e sono cose che hanno un valore.

Il 67% del turismo e' formato da canadesi e cubano americani.
I primi ci saranno sempre, il Canada e' a un tiro di sputo, quando per le strade girano gli orsi bianchi gli acerini devono solo salire su un aereo e dopo 3 ore sono vestiti come Magnum P.I.
Anche i cubano americani ci saranno sempre per i vincoli famigliari che hanno sull'isola, e' un turismo che spende ma non negli hotel visto che sicuramente soggiornano nelle case delle loro famiglie.

Manca il turismo europeo, quello russo ha altri problemi in questo momento, i cinesi ci sono ma non sono molti.
Speriamo che la tendenza si inverta, perche' Cuba resta una delle migliori location al mondo per passare una vacanza, vederla mezza vuota mette davvero tristezza.

The data regarding the first six months of tourism in Cuba in 2025 are disturbing.
A 25% drop compared to last year, which wasn't a year to remember.
980,000 tourists landed on the island in these six months, 327,000 fewer than in 2024.
Italian tourists have disappeared from the top ten tourism destinations on the island; I'm not surprised at all.

It's not that Italians no longer go to Cuba; Italians (almost 9 million) will forgo vacations in 2025 for economic reasons.
As I mentioned since I'm in Emilia Romagna, and as good old Gugu, who runs a business in Cesenatico, confirms, if there weren't foreigners, we'd all close shop.
If we wait for Italian tourism, we'll end up living under a bridge.

Returning to Cuba, we can't even blame the four idiots with disastrous lives who hang around on social media and groups, advising people not to go there. They're people who piss off even their own mothers.
We can't even talk about the fact that prices have increased on that side of the blockade; with the informal changeover, the increases have been largely offset.
So why?

Trump's arrival has done some damage, but not much.
When our press talks about Cuba, it's always with negative and scathing articles, as if people are starving and there's no food available, not even for tourists. It's all bullshit.
Travel agencies advise against the island, and often their owners have never been there.
The apagones, sure... but in tourist facilities, it's not a problem; there are generators, as in many rental properties, especially the most highly rated ones.

Let's just say that the general climate around the island isn't the best right now, and the government is doing its part to try to make it even worse.
Then there's the gusaneria who spout shit at every turn, and these things have value.

67% of tourism is made up of Canadians and Cuban-Americans.
The former will always be there; Canada is just a stone's throw away. When polar bears roam the streets, the Cubans just have to hop on a plane and three hours later they're dressed like Magnum P.I.
The Cuban-Americans will always be there too, due to the family ties they have on the island. It's a type of tourism that spends money, but not on hotels, since they're certainly staying in their families' homes.

European tourism is lacking, Russian tourism is having other problems right now, and Chinese tourism is there, but not in large numbers. Let's hope this trend reverses, because Cuba remains one of the best places in the world to spend a vacation; seeing it half-empty is truly sad.
