Recentemente avevo pubblicato nella mia pagina personale la notizia riguardante il presidente argentino Milei che, in un momento di populismo estremo, aveva deciso di fare un giro col suo corteo presidenziale nei barrios piu' popolari di Buenos Aires.
Non e' andata benissimo, gli hanno tirato di tutto.

Pietre, bulloni, sassi, mattoni, tutto cio' che la gente aveva per le mani gli e' arrivato addosso.
Ovviamente viste le sciagurate misure economiche che hanno gettato il paese ancora piu' nella poverta' non ci si poteva aspettare altro.
Pero' occorre sempre ricordare che Milei (a cui la Meloni ha pure conferito la cittadinanza italiana....dovesse mai la faccenda finire molto male...) non e' arrivato al potere con un colpo di stato militare, come accadde in passato in quel paese.

Ha vinto regolarmente le elezioni, che non sono valide soltanto quando vince quello che piace a noi.
Gli argentini, legittimamente stufi dei disastri peronisti hanno scelto questo diversamente intelligente per essere governati, quindi ora se lo devono puppare tutto.
Cosi' come, anni fa i brasiliani scelsero Bosonaro, noi (voi) abbiamo (avete) scelto la Meloni col suo imbarazzante e penoso governo, gli americani hanno scelto Trump.

Quando un paese e' in crisi economica e morale apre le porte al cosiddetto uomo forte, che poi e' forte solo per modo di dire.
Quando le democrazie falliscono arrivano questi, lo dice la storia, non lo dico io.
Lo sciagurato accordo di pace della prima guerra mondiale, che mando' a ramengo la Germania apri' le porte a Hitler, la vittoria dimezzata della grande guerra apri' quelle del nostro paese a Mussolini.

Spero che questa tendenza finisca presto perche' mandare al potere questa gente e' come darsi delle gran roncolate sui maroni.
Non ce ne si accorge subito, ma quando capita puo' essere oramai troppo tardi.

FROM CHAINSAW TO STONES

I recently posted on my personal page the news about Argentine President Milei, who, in a moment of extreme populism, had decided to tour his presidential motorcade through the most working-class neighborhoods of Buenos Aires.
It didn't go very well; they threw everything at him.

Rocks, bolts, stones, bricks—everything the people had in their hands—came at him.
Obviously, given the disastrous economic measures that have plunged the country even deeper into poverty, nothing else could have been expected.
However, it's important to remember that Milei (whom Meloni also granted Italian citizenship to... should things ever end very badly...) didn't come to power through a military coup, as happened in the past in that country.

He won the elections regularly, which aren't only valid when the one we like wins.
The Argentines, legitimately fed up with the Peronist disasters, chose this differently intelligent man to govern them, so now they have to swallow him completely.
Just as, years ago, the Brazilians chose Bosonaro, we (you) chose Meloni with her embarrassing and pathetic government, the Americans chose Trump.

When a country is in economic and moral crisis, it opens the doors to the so-called strongman, who is only strong in name.
When democracies fail, these people arrive; history says so, not me.
The ill-fated peace agreement of the First World War, which sent Germany to ruin, opened the doors to Hitler; the halved victory of the Great War opened those of our country to Mussolini.

I hope this trend ends soon, because sending these people to power is like giving yourself a good slap in the face.
You don't notice it right away, but when it happens it may be too late.
