1000 DAYS OF STEEM — The Diary Game - 09/09/2025 - What a craving for bed...

I fall for it every now and then, in posts, in reports, like this one I'm trying to send this evening. It won't be easy, because I feel tiredness quickly creeping in, and I can barely feel the coffee I drank a little over an hour ago. I'm almost at the mercy of sleep, which is increasingly taking over my body and mind. But it won't be long before I'll be back in bed, because I desperately need some shut-eye, because tomorrow morning the alarm will go off early, just after 5:30, as the stairs of the insurance office, which I recently took over, are scheduled to be cleaned...

And what does one of my two cats have to do with what I said above?!?!

The image is relevant, indeed, because I observed her for a long time this afternoon, while I was trying to do some housework, even though I would have gladly been excused, but there was no way. Certain things had to be done, had to be sorted out. There was, some people said, no more time to waste. Maybe, I wasn't convinced this afternoon, and I'm not convinced now that it's all over, at least for now. Some things could have been left to chance, without offending anyone, but it was like talking to the wind, because when she gets going, she's more stubborn than a Sardinian mule. But let her be careful, that one, the one I'm still living with, because my patience has a limit...

Here, in short, are the reasons why my cat has this sort of relevance to this post, why I envied her, and a lot, because no one bothers her with doing housework, she can do exactly what she wants and what she likes, with very few limits, such as sleeping blissfully as in the image I attached. I wanted to emulate her, but without the slightest success, this afternoon she gave me no peace, nor respite, while continuing to complain throughout the day...

Ogni tanto ci casco, in post, in resoconti, come questo che sto cercando di inviare questa sera, non sarà proprio facile facile, perché sento che la stanchezza sta rapidamente arrivando, e il caffé che ho bevuto poco più di un'ora fa non lo sento praticamente più, sono quasi in balia del sonno che si sta impadronendo sempre di più del mio corpo e della mia mente, ma non mancherà molto al mio rientro verso il letto, perché ho un disperato bisogno di chiudere gli occhi, perché domani mattina la sveglia suonerà ben presto, poco dopo le 5 e mezza, in quanto è prevista la pulizia delle scale dell'ufficio assicurativo di cui ho preso da poco questo incarico...

E una delle mie due gatte cosa c'entra in quello che ho affermato poco sopra?!?!

L'immagine è attinente, eccome, perché l'ho osservata a lungo, oggi pomeriggio, mentre io cercavo di fare alcuni lavori domestici, anche se avrei voluto volentieri essere esonerato ma non c'è stato verso, certe cose andavano fatte, andavano sistemate, non c'era, a detta di qualcuno, altro tempo da perdere, sarà, non ne ero convinto oggi pomeriggio, non ne sono convinto neanche ora che è finito tutto, almeno per il momento, perché alcune cose si potevano anche demandare, che non si offendeva nessuno, ma è stato come parlare al vento, perché quando si mette, è più testarda di un mulo sardo, ma che stia attenta, quella là, quella con cui ancora attualmente sto vivendo, che la mia pazienza ha un limite...

Ecco, in breve, le motivazioni per le quali la mia gatta ha questa sorta di attinenza con questo post, perché l'ho invidiata, e parecchio, perché a lei nessuno va a rompere le palle per fare le faccende di casa, lei può fare esattamente tutto quello che vuole e che le pare e piace, con pochissimi limiti, come ad esempio dormire beata come nell'immagine che ho allegato, che voglia ho avuto di emularla, ma senza poterci riuscire minimamente, questo pomeriggio non mi ha dato pace, né tregua, pur continuando a lamentare per tutto il corso della giornata...
