1000 DAYS OF STEEM — The Diary Game - 23/09/2025 - I struggle to get to bed...

Today was a really intense workday, because from early morning I could see that things were going to go a bit sideways for me. Perhaps it was due to the work I knew awaited me, or perhaps other issues. The fact remains that I had a decidedly demanding morning and afternoon, physically demanding. But, as often happens, let's make sense of what I said by briefly discussing what I actually did...

The alarm went off early, just before 6:00. My intention was to arrive at the place we clean on Monday morning at a time when the sun wasn't shining in a particular area...

Now, the question arose, and it was legitimate...

"Excuse me, eeehhhh, but where do you see the sun this morning???"

The cleaning of the large windows of the Monday shop had been scheduled for this morning. It was one of those drudgeries I can't even begin to describe, a real pain in the ass in terms of various efforts, because I used the water squeegee, on the advice of the home expert, who directed my movements best, effectively indirectly guiding my moves in this direction. But the best was yet to come, because in her mind we should have cleaned the windows for about 3 hours at most, instead we worked almost 4 and a half hours, with a final result that was certainly visually impactful. But what I didn't do in the morning, I had to postpone to the afternoon...

Two staircases, with a large and particularly demanding outdoor courtyard, I started work shortly after 3:00 PM. It took me a full three and a half hours to complete everything, especially considering the fact that a bothersome gale was blowing, a hot and muggy wind that usually blows in the height of summer, which repeatedly moved the leaves I was raking, further slowing down my tasks...

I also went to get gas at a nearby station, another slight delay in my hypothetical schedule, but in the end I managed to submit my report in a relatively respectable amount of time, even though I can hear the call to bed becoming more and more urgent!

Oggi è stata una giornata lavorativa davvero intensa, perché fin dal mattino ho capito che le cose sarebbero andate un po' male. Forse a causa del lavoro che sapevo mi aspettava, o forse per altri motivi. Resta il fatto che ho avuto una mattinata e un pomeriggio decisamente impegnativi, fisicamente impegnativi. Ma, come spesso accade, diamo un senso a quanto ho detto parlando brevemente di cosa ho effettivamente fatto...

La sveglia è suonata presto, poco prima delle 6:00. La mia intenzione era di arrivare al posto in cui puliamo lunedì mattina in un momento in cui il sole non splendeva in una particolare zona...

Ora, la domanda è sorta, ed era legittima...

"Scusa, eeehhhh, ma dove vedi il sole stamattina???"

Era stata fissata per questa mattina la pulizia delle ampie vetrate del locale del lunedì, era una di quelle sfacchinate che non vi dico, un'autentica mazzata a livello di fatiche varie, perché ho impiegato il tiracqua, dietro consiglio dell'esperta di casa, che ha indirizzato al meglio i miei movimenti andando effettivamente a guidare indirettamente le mie mosse in tal senso, ma il bello doveva ancora venire, perché nella sua mente avremmo dovuto fare una pulizia dei vetri di circa 3 ore al massimo, mentre abbiamo lavorato quasi 4 ore e mezza, con un risultato finale di sicuro impatto visivo, ma quello che non ho fatto la mattina, le ho dovute spostare al pomeriggio...

Due scale, con una corte esterna estesa e particolarmente impegnativa, ho iniziato a lavorare poco dopo le ore 15, mi sono occorse la bellezza di 3 ore e mezza per ultimare il tutto, in considerazione del fatto che ha soffiato un fastidioso vento di garbino, un vento caldo e afoso che di solito soffia in piena estate, che ha spostato diverse volte le foglie che stavo raccogliendo, rallentando ulteriormente lo svolgimento delle mie mansioni...

Sono pure andato a fare benzina in un distributore limitrofo, un ulteriore leggero ritardo, nella mia ipotetica tabella di marcia, ma alla fine riesco a inviare il mio resoconto in un tempo tutto sommato dignitoso, anche se sento il richiamo del letto che si sta facendo perentorio!!
