When I worked in Chapainawabganj, I occasionally visited various historical structures in Chapainawabganj. One of those historical structures is the Chhota Sona Mosque. Currently, this Chhota Sona Mosque is located in Shibganj district of Chapainawabganj district of Bangladesh. It is a very old mosque in Bangladesh. Chapainawabganj district is located in the Rajshahi division of Bangladesh.

This historical structure was built in Pirojpur village on the outskirts of Gaur city, the capital of ancient Bengal. This historical structure was built by a person named Wali Mohammad Ali. The structure was built during the reign of Sultan Alauddin Hossain Shah. This historical structure was built in 1494-1519 AD. There is an inscription above the middle door of this mosque. All this information is recorded in that inscription. The letters mentioning the date in the inscription have been erased, which is why the exact date of construction is not known.

This historical structure named Chhota Sona Mosque is located just three kilometers south of Kotwali Darwaza, this historical mosque stands as one of the monuments of Muslim architecture, this historical mosque is built in the Husain Shah architectural style, people come from far and wide to see this historical mosque, many people feel surprised after seeing this mosque.

Many people think that there are pieces of gold on the door of this mosque, due to which this mosque has been named Chhota Sona Masjid, any historical structure is very nice to see, those historical structures are very beautiful and powerful, even after hundreds of years, all these historical structures highlight the history and tradition of Bangladesh among the people, by seeing these structures we can know a lot of history of Bangladesh.
