Focus on the present to avoid anxiety.

Hello friends of this great community; There was a time when I lived with constant anxiety, always worried about my future, about what could always happen, I was focused on what would come next, what is going to happen next, I feel so lost, what I can do and this caused me a lot of suffering, because I did not accept the present moment.
It is curious how human beings enjoy or seem to enjoy suffering, it is not like that, I decided to look for another explanation, why I felt so much anxiety, why anxiety happens, I realized that anxiety is like the twin sister of fear, the only difference is that fear responds to something concrete and real, for example, if I am swimming in the sea and I see a shark, I will feel afraid because it is a real threat to my life, I am experiencing fear at that moment, however, anxiety is generated in your mind, what you do is imagine the worst possible scenarios so that if any of those scenarios happen you won't be so disappointed.
Something that can be especially challenging for those in their 20s and 30s is to realize that the best way to avoid disappointment and suffering and sadness is to let go of control, it is crucial to accept that we cannot control everything, instead of visualizing the worst scenarios for situations that cause you fear, why not invest your time in improving aspects that are really under your control.
You have to stop sabotaging yourself, because this is self-sabotage, one of the biggest mistakes of human beings is not trying to give their best and suffering in advance by imagining catastrophic situations that only exist in their mind, it is ironic how one puts themselves in a position of suffering without anything having happened yet, but in their mind it has already happened, all this to be prepared for something that does not even exist and the irony is that 90% of the things that you imagine will never go wrong. they happen.
