This isn’t the first time, they are calling out Inter Milan and ac Milan in football scandal.
I remember some years ago when juventus was involved in a match fixing scandal, they were also called out along with them. I think that year juventus loose their title and was sent to lower division.
Juventus have learnt.. ac Milan and Inter Milan have refused to learn . Probably, when they get a very strong punishment, they’ll learn better.
That's right my friend, it was 2006 and that scandal was called ‘Calciopoli’. In reality, the investigators never found evidence of match results being fixed, but only phone calls that the directors of the various teams made to the referee designators.
You remember well! Juventus was punished the most, despite the fact that Inter and AC Milan also did the same things. Or rather, worse! The investigators found direct phone calls between AC Milan executives and referees and between the president of Inter and the referee designators explicitly asking for favourable treatment from the referees.
Yet Juventus was punished, Inter were given a Scudetto (they had finished third in the championship) and AC Milan were penalised just enough points to take part in the Champions League the following year. Which they won.
Milan teams, especially Inter, have always been protected and helped by politics, newspapers and the football system in general, but their greatest skill is to make people believe they are poor innocent victims.
