I think that it might be the cached files creating an issue - although I've not experienced it myself which makes it tricky to diagnose. I see you've said that you've cleared Browsing History - did the cache go too? If you press CTRL+F5, does that help at all?

    Yip, I've tried it all.
    This morning someone suggested that I restart my computer and behold.. it worked!
    I am now logged in on Google. :-)
