RE: Over 80 in auto ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

in Italy โ€ข last month

How about those from other ages getting in accidents? I know some very active 80-year olds who look by far not the way you showed on the picture.

I am sure that most drivers will not pass our driver's exam (no way most drivers would in NL) if they had to do it again after 2-5 years. Especially, not men with a certain "confident" attitude pushing other drivers of the road or bringing them into dangerous situations.

Now I mention roads.. Here can also be made huge improvements same for driving lessons.

Many never learned how to gey on the highway or get off and participating with other drivers seems to be asked too much for the average anti social driver.

With us the elderly are tested unlike in some countries where the license is for life!

Without a car wouldn't be such a problem is normal, frequent and cheap public transport would exist. Inam nit sure uf that dies exist in Italy but no way you find it in the Netherlands ir other countries I kniw. Only Hungary offers free public transport for 65 years old buy it's useless if it takes 3 hours walking to the nearest busstop and not even a taxi is willing to puck you up.

This means that all those elderly forced to take care of themselves, still living on their own (with us you have to be dead to be allowed to get into a nursery home) are firced to stay home and die.

The problem with driving, licenses is way bigger than just "slow" response or being a ghost driver.

A sign on the car might also be a help. We do the same with those taking lessons, new drivers, deaf drivers and those with dissabilities.

Next the bad sight and dangerius situations on the roads can be changed as well. I know plenty of spits where always the mist acvidents hapoen and the city of government is too lazy/greedy to make it safer with frequently a very small change.
