In the same boat!
When people want to show their peaceful intentions in a situation, they sometimes say: We're in the same boat!
Out there, in the middle of the ocean, even enemies become friends because they have nothing to share except a shared boat, and it's much easier to survive together.
I read a similar phrase in the wise and piercing gaze of a sparrow I discovered in a rosehip bush.
This gaze seemed to say to me: We're in the same boat, surrounded by thorny branches and one common autumn.
