Spiral movement.

During the wedding ceremony of my eldest daughter, the pastor who married the newlyweds gave a parting sermon about spiritual growth, forgiveness and other important things that create a strong foundation for a married couple under the protection of God.

We, people, are weak, and it does not matter whether we go to the gym or otherwise develop ourselves physically, we are weak before various kinds of temptations and our path in spiritual growth is like a vertical spiral.

If we do the right thing, we rise several turns of the spiral up, and when we make serious mistakes, we spiral down to lower levels.

Sometimes, people think that the puddle at the foot of this spiral is the very bottom, and there is no way back if you wet your feet rolling down.

People sometimes think this way, but not God.

God is merciful and no matter how deep we dive into this puddle, he always gives us the opportunity to climb back up to the upper levels of the spiral.

It seemed to me that a playground submerged in water after rain is a good illustration of this thought, which is valuable to me.
