Tachinidae or hedgehog fly - Weekly Contest, "Playing photographer #4 Insects."
Tachinidae or hedgehog fly.
It is always interesting to meet an insect that is not often seen, and even if it is a fly, not a special fly people call it hedgehog, and its name in Latin is Tachinidae.
I have seen many different flies, some of them look quite funny, for example, flies whose wings look like a bow tie but Tachinidae differs from its fellows in its rather bright coloring in different shades of ocher and long chitinous hairs on the surface of its abdomen, which are very reminiscent of the needles of a hedgehog or porcupine.
This fly is difficult to confuse with its other fellows and for a moment you forget that this is just a fly that should be driven away from cutlets.
But as a rule I found such flies on flowering plants, apparently this fly dreamed of becoming a butterfly or a bee but something in nature did not go as planned and a scary-looking fly was born.
But the presence of these flies on flowers is quite true, since these flies lay their larvae in the bodies of other insects and where are there most insects?
Yes, on flowers and it is there that this fly waits for future nannies-containers for its offspring.
The fate of such nannies is deplorable since before leaving their host, the larvae dry out from the inside, after which they continue their transformation into an adult fly but already underground where they will crawl after the need for a nanny disappears.
And after some time an adult Tachinidae fly will emerge from underground.
As a rule a person's attitude to flies is like parasites that should be gotten rid of but these flies bring obvious benefits to a person in that they destroy other insects thus, one can say that this fly is a friend of man lol.
This post is my entry for the competition Weekly Contest, "Playing photographer #4 Insects." / "Jugando A Ser Fotógrafo #4 Insectos" organized by Dear @adeljose.

Greetings, friend @barski
This is the first time I've seen a fly that likes to land on a flower. As you can imagine, it may have an identity problem.
Thanks for joining the contest.

It's good that bees are not milked like cows, otherwise there would really be problems :)
