Fishing Day at Sunny Weather
Today was a sunny, warm day in Istanbul after weeks. The wind had died down. I postponed my work and went fishing on my boat in the Bosphorus.
I was out at sea around 11:00 a.m. First, a few horse mackerel came to my line. Then I started catching bluefish. The fish were more than I expected. I had to act quickly; I couldn't miss this fish.
Around noon, the wind picked up, and the fishing slowed down a bit. Meanwhile, I caught a rare bonito this year. Three bonito caught my hook today.
I returned home before dusk.
Today, I caught a total of three bonito, 2.5 kilograms of bluefish.
Bonito costs about $8 each, and bluefish costs about $12 per kilogram. If I had sold these fish, I would have earned about $54.
If I had bought these fish myself, I would have paid about $75.
I didn't sell them and took them home. I'll eat it little by little.
Normally, when I catch a lot of fish, I sell it to restaurants. It can be a supplemental income for me. Plus, I can enjoy a fun day at sea and earn a good amount of money.
It's been a good fish day for me.
