I love detailed, well-written writing like yours!
If I didn't read them, I wouldn't vote for them.
I know why I'm not signed up for Twitter - that fast pace of short messages is not for me. WhatsApp is also mostly silent because I just stopped responding a long time ago when someone (I'm sure a very, very interested friend...) asks me with it, "How are you?" I don't think this shifted way of communicating is good for humans as social beings - even if everything is called "social" media.

Thanks for the kind words @chriddi! It's nice to see your comment here; I thank you for so often voting on my posts.

I am very poorly suited to twitter. I got twitter to use to build business connections, and I do have a very "organic" following that actually tends to respond when I post something. But I have no interest in pursuing that circus of tiny "thought nuggets."

It seems to me the world is getting shorter and shorter, but I can't say I think that's a good thing. Language is being lost... our ability to express in depth seems to be at risk.
