The Happiness of a Mother in The Hills of Kabale
After long days of unsettled moves to keep the now two families running, I am humbled to share with you a dream that has finally come alive. Through the small local trips I do here, I managed to get my mother something she has always longed for, a rainwater harvesting tank.
I can still remember the time when I came here asking for support, telling you about my dream of helping her get a tank and a small kitchen. Life has not been easy, but I have kept on pushing forward with faith and persistence. Today, with a grateful heart, I am happy to say that a 3,000-litre water tank is now standing proudly at her home.
For years, struggling to walk for long distances with a jerry can just to fetch water. That weight on the shoulders is now lifted. Seeing her smile in these photos is a moment I will forever treasure and a true reminder that a mother’s happiness is priceless.
On the other hand, I also send you warm greetings from Patience and our little daughter Annabelle, who is growing step by step. Her innocent laughter keeps giving me strength to continue walking this journey.
Of course, there is still more to be done. I need to get a tap connected to the tank, build a basement for stability using bricks and cement, and also hire some labour to complete the setup. This will cost a little extra beyond what I can handle at the moment.
If any of you feel touched to lend a hand, whether through your steem power or any small donation please it would mean a lot. Every drop counts towards completing this project for my mother.
I will keep you posted with updates and progress. Together, we can continue making mothers smile.
