We've always had pets in the family, and I've always told my children to treat them well, take care of them, and look after them because they're part of the family. They don't speak, but they make themselves understood and are very intelligent.

This is Isabella, who came to this house as a gift from a friend of my daughter's. She died three years ago due to her age. She was a dwarf Puddler, but everyone was amazed because she wasn't that small. My daughter bought her clothes and dressed her occasionally, but I was always there for her food, so she adopted me as her mother.

She followed me everywhere in the house, but at night she slept in bed with my daughter. I don't like sleeping with any kind of animal. When Isabella died, we were devastated, especially my daughter; but she had the courage to take her and bury her; she died of a heart attack.

This is Mono, a beautiful little dog who chose me as his mother. When we were in Colombia, there was a little dog with her puppy on a farm. She would bring him home to look for food, and he stayed with us.
He was the first pet I felt was mine, and of course, I took care of him and gave him lots of love.

I worked in a restaurant and brought him food every day, almost empty. He also followed me everywhere when I went out to explore the farm looking for photographs for publications. He taught me about the love of pets, and I loved him with all my heart. Mono died before I came to Venezuela.

And this is Pacca. I don't know her breed, but we love her big ears. My other daughter found Pacca wandering around the street and brought her home before she was hit by a car. She's been with us for a while now and has lost some teeth. Like the others, I'm the one who feeds her, and my daughter does the rest. She's not so attached to me; she sleeps with my daughter in her room and is part of the family until God decides to take her.

Dogs and any other pet you have are part of the family because they live with us all the time. So we have to take care of them, and they will give you the greatest and purest love you can ever have. They are very loyal and affectionate, and even though many don't believe it, they understand you.

Era una Puddler enana, pero todos estaban asombrados porque no era tan pequeña. Mi hija le compraba ropa y la vestía en ocasiones, pero yo estaba pendiente de su comida así que me adoptó como su mamá.

Me seguía a todas partes dentro de la casa, pero de noche dormía en la cama con mi hija. A mi no me gusta dormir con ningún tipo de animal. Cuando Isabella murió quedamos devastados, sobre todo mi hija; pero tuvo el valor de tomarla y enterrarla, murió de un infarto.

El es Mono, un hermoso perrito que me escogió él a mi como su mamá. Cuando estuvimos en Colombia, en una finca había una perrita con su cachorrito. Ella lo llevaba hasta la casa para buscar comida y él se quedó con nosotros. Fue el primer animalito que sentí mío y por supuesto lo cuidé y le di mucho amor.

Yo trabajaba en un restaurante y le llevaba todos los días comida de la que dejaban casi completa. También me seguía a todas partes cuando salía a recorrer la finca buscando fotografías para las publicaciones. Me enseño lo que es al amor a las mascotas y yo lo amé con todo el corazón. Mono murió antes de venirme a Venezuela.

Y ella es Pacca, no se su raza, pero nos encantan sus orejotas tan grandes que tiene. Pacca la encontró mi otra hija divagando por la calle y se la llevó a la casa antes de que la atropellara un carro. Ya tiene tiempo con nosotros y ha perdido algunos dientes. Al igual que los otros yo soy quien le da de comer y mi hija hace lo demás. No está tan pegada conmigo, duerme con mi hija en su cuarto y es parte de la familia hasta que Dios decida llevársela.

Los perritos y cualquier animalito que tengas como mascota son parte de la familia porque viven todo el tiempo entre nosotros. Así que tenemos que cuidarlos y te darán el amor más grande y puro que puedas tener. Son muy fieles y muy cariñosos, y aunque muchos no lo crean ellos te entienden.
