This is a close-up macro shot of a frozen water drop. It was taken outdoors at night using a Nikon D40 with a 50mm lens and an external flash. The temperature had started to rise slightly, and ice particles on branches were beginning to melt. I boosted the contrast in post-processing to isolate the drop and remove distracting background elements. The goal was to capture the clarity of that single moment where winter transitions to spring.
