RE: STEEM + Poloniex: Be Careful
That's sad. However, I received a tip from my friend and mentor @event-horizon, which I find extremely useful: "Always proceed with the transfer of 1 Steem before the rest of the transaction."
In your case, it may be that the rest of the transaction could be vulnerable to a system failure even after the 1st steem successful transaction. So, yes, it's frustrating and disheartening.
These are some of the flaws I think exist with exchanges dealing with cryptocurrencies, issues that people often discuss when expressing trust concerns with these systems.
The situation is unclear. Between these two failed transactions, I made about a dozen that were completed successfully within seconds. So I was sure that everything was working, and the first transaction I provided was an exception.
For now, I will use another method, at least until the issue with uncredited transactions is resolved.
When you are in club100 for so long, you sometimes forget how to transfer out. 1-steem-transfer is a good precautionary check. 😅
Precautionary check, plus assess the reliability of the system, for at least 5-10 minutes. However, you never know when something like "o1eh" mentioned can happen.
These discrepancies urghhh
