Helping Cocoa Seedling Growth and Leaf Development
Helping Cocoa Seedling Growth and Leaf Development
Today, I'm going to show all Steem users, those who want to garden or have cocoa seeds, want to sow them but don't know how or what the seeding process is. In this post, I don't mean to lecture. Rather, I want to copy and paste the real-world reality into the cocoa nursery journey, so that in the future, Steem users can enjoy the results with their families.
In this process, I've had to help the cocoa seedlings grow and develop their main leaves. This is where the success of cocoa seed cultivation lies. Because, during the initial sowing, the cocoa seeds are still covered by a thick layer of mucus found on the cocoa seeds when we sow them.
I liken this process to the process of helping our children when they are still small, so they can walk faster, dress themselves, smile and laugh, so that everything will have its own happiness for us in the real world and the online world. in helping the entire development process. Okay
Well, in the previous post, you can see it at this link:Cocoa Seed Nursery for Easy and Big Growth
Exactly 10 days ago, I performed a simple seeding program, but it yielded healthy seedlings without any pest infestation. I continued to water, fertilize, and use a contact pest control system to keep pests away and prevent the destruction of leaf pests, which are essential for their survival.
The results of the seeding program, as in the post from 10 days ago, can be seen below:
in the picture above you want to steem and support every post of my nursery, that, the cocoa seeds that I sowed, have shown their heads to the top of the soil or fine sand that is at the bottom of the cocoa seed planting media, as I said, if using sand, these cocoa seeds, will be easier to appear to the bottom of the planting media, compared to using soil, it will make the growth slow, but all of this I only do in the initial stages, so that whatever we make has time and costs that are not wasted, even though some local residents, said I was crazy, sowing cocoa seeds using sand, but, after local residents saw the results, they did not dare to come to ask or learn, I can only smile, however I have seen the results, let's see below:
Now, try to pay attention to the picture above, the package that covers the top is the skin that we will help to remove, the roots of the leaf growth develop quickly, so, I do this to function and be useful in addition to growth, namely to avoid rotting of the inside of the wrapped seeds, hopefully readers from the community and Steem users can understand it.
Well, the process of assistance is as in the picture below, we remove it slowly, if it is still attached, we can wet it with water first, and if it is still attached, we will repeat it the next day after watering of course, so that it is softer when removing it. Let's see the picture below:
Below is a picture after the process of removing the wrapping from the cocoa seedling is complete. After this, the next step is to wait for the young leaves to emerge more quickly and develop.
That's all I can share. I hope it's useful for users and farmers who find my post on other Google pages in the future.
I'll end here. Best regards
