It's a relief that I can continue working on the proposal. It will benefit the entire community so it came as a surprise to see people objecting to it!

The fact that moderators of other nationalities are present in a regional community may be to attract users from those other regions.

I think it's a hangover from the engagement challenges where the steemcurator requested moderators from different nations in their applications. This led to country communities recruiting other nationalities. In most communities, the variety makes sense but for me, not in a country community.
