As a continuation of the series of drawing Naruto anime characters, today I will show you how I drew the character Kisame Hoshigaki.
It was an enjoyable artistic journey full of details because my mind was distracted today.
I was drawing, then erasing the drawing, and starting again.
I tried a lot to make my drawing clearer and more creative.
I hope you enjoy this.

At the beginning, I started by defining the basic features of Kisame Hoshigaki’s face.
I focused on drawing the general shape of the head, with the stern eyes and the simple mouth that reflects his serious personality.
I also added the initial lines of the hair and the headband as essential elements that give identity to the character.
In this stage, I relied only on light and clear lines, as a preparatory step for building the details later.

In the second stage of my work on drawing the character Kisame Hoshigaki, I focused on showing the basic features clearly through clean and precise lines. I worked on defining the facial landmarks accurately, especially the eyes and their serious expression that reflects the character’s strength. I also paid attention to clarifying the distinctive lines on the cheeks, and highlighting the headband in balance with the hair. As for the details of the outfit, I kept them simple for now, with focus on the wide collar to give the drawing visual balance. This stage represents the basic structure before moving on to shading and adding color depth, as it is the solid foundation on which the final artwork will be built.

In the third stage of drawing the character Kisame Hoshigaki, I moved from focusing only on the facial features to highlighting the entire body with the addition of the outfit and the weapon details. I worked carefully on drawing the Akatsuki cloak with clear lines balanced with the distinctive cloud patterns, which give the character a direct identity. I also added the large sword on his back with a wide strap that secures its position, to reflect the weight and power of the weapon that is considered an essential part of Kisame’s character. I also paid attention to the general proportions of the body and the distribution of the lines so that the drawing remains cohesive and balanced from head to feet. This stage represents the completion of the basic lines of the character, and it is considered a comprehensive plan before entering the world of shading and coloring that will grant the artwork its full vitality.

In the final stage of drawing the character Kisame Hoshigaki, I added full shading to highlight the depth and dimension in the work. I relied on pencil gradations to give the clothes, skin, and weapon a sense of realistic texture, while preserving the clarity of the basic lines on which the previous stages were built. The shading on the Akatsuki cloak gave weight to the character and emphasized the details of the distinctive patterns, while the contrast between light and shadow added a strong presence to the facial features and his sharp gaze. In this stage, the work is completed to reflect the strength and majesty of the character, blended with the precision of details and the strictness of the style that I sought to maintain from the beginning.
