I guess in a certain way we get used to being ill, although we keep fighting. One moment everything seems fine, and the next you are down again. I must admit I feel way better today than I ever did. I started on Steemit in bed, somehow it feels like a long time ago.
I am satisfied about what I achieved and how I found a way to improve my life but there's also a limit. No more doctor visits. I have been long enough the labrat.
I understand why you can't vote and wonder how many Steemians vote this way. Can you ask if he can give me a lift and like to join hands? I am not interested in development and don't feel the need to be in the top 20 but being more visible would be helpful and I would like to be able to reward those who engage and give Steemit more spirit which is important if we want this platform be visible and keep it alive.
And if you know someone else, please let me know.

I remember mother saying "we already own half of this hospital" to the persons when she was chats with them at the hospital]s waiting area outside my Neurologist's clinic office in the city which we used to go every 100 days for monitoring my "mild" epilepsy.
What she meant by that is we would commute from our province to the city so frequently that we had spent a lot of money by doing so.
We are told that after my bottle of prescription medication will nearly be consumed (100 tablets of Phenobarbital), that we should get back to him.
But there were other doctors "Neurologist" before him which my mother brought me to but stopped until I had another bout of losing consciousness as a form of my mild epilepsy symptom. So she brought me back to my last Neurologist until we decided to stop going to his clinic anymore before I graduated high school.
I never knew that there is more sinister health issue which was brewing already all along until the symptoms got worse over time and it just all happened until now. My life is just one story of tragedy and survival but I am still fighting to get better and I value you because you care even though we are thousands of kilometers apart.

It is a good remark of your mother, still with a bit of humour. With us we say in these cases the same or: Don't I receive stamps? These stamps are received for free or you can buy them if you shop with certain supermarkets. If you have a booklet filled it's worth a few more euros than you paid for it. More interest than banks give (not too difficult because banks give no interest at all and you have to beg if you want to lay a hand on your savings!).
Yesterday I set up a proxy for my accounts so all SP is bundled now. It is interesting to see how few (dare) to vote or show interest in blowing more life into this platform. Something we all would benefit from.
I would like to see the list with active servers instead of all those
names. It will make voting look more seriously and Steemit as well instead if the ghost town look we face today.I have 16 votes left perhaps more if I know what those I voted for stand for.

It is a very good thing to be included in the list of getting food stamps but I learned that there is a technicality where if you are earning a certain amount of money even thought it is not enough, then you will not get food stamps.
Here in my country the government help only certain sector of society like giving chosen poor family's children get financial support so that they can graduate from up to College or state universities.
The money that the family makes in the other hand will just then go for their daily essential needs, so that government fund they call "Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program" (4Ps (It means a program to support/help Filipino families which is the poorest of the poor that is) helps the children's schooling needs and makes it affordable for them and it has conditions like the children has to go to school and something like that.
There are other two government programs that aims to help the poor but this one ridiculous one which employs certain dwellers of every Barrio to sweep the streets and in turn will receive a salary, What happens is that the one assigned to list such individual will only include their relatives and friends. My mother was asking to get listed but she is just denied because she is not a relative of that leader of Senior citizens of our Barrio.
The other way for people to get some help from the government was to file a request of financial support to the Mayor. Sometimes the money they get is so small it is not even worth it to go to the Municipal town government where the office of the Mayor is located but many people still try to get some money as some individuals I saw are requesting money to pay for their electricity bills. But because we voted the losing mayor, we will not get any support like we used to with the past Mayor of this town.
Anyway, there aren't any much development here in Steem platform, the inherent hate for Justin Sun makes many developers not to come back. However it made this platform peaceful and there aren't any hateful angry people wrecking anyone's business. But this platform can still thrive like it is now if we just do and practice its intended use which is to interact and use this platform in many positive ways.

The stamps we receive for free or can buy everyone gets if he shops at a supermarket or cheeseshop or pharmacy but also there are periods you can collect them from on the market and other places and if you have a full card you receive a free product and a full booklet is an amount of money. So we use for the end of the year for food or presents. Many Dutch people are doing it. You find them on the butter, coffee, tea and many more products. I believe we are the country of stamps. LOL It might get fewer but there are also supermarkets given reductions for a longer period but you need the app from the shop.. so basically we are the product.
There was a couple in Rotterdam who started the food bank.
by now the government took over and decided who will receive it but it's exactly enough not to die and mainly the same, unlike what I see from what they provide people with in the US. No fruits, meat and so on and it's getting less because the supermarkets no longer give to the foodbank.
Now we have little cabinets in the streets. People place them in front of their houses. You can put in food or little items, books and so on, whatever you don't need. You are also free to take it out if you need it and it works very well. Let's see how fast the government will forbid it.
It's terrible to ask for help. Hundreds of forms and they like to know everything over years and it depends on the mood of the person who receives help and who doesn't so many don't even ask because it's very stressful.
I believe many of the present Steemians don't even know who Justin Sun is. I discovered it lately. And if they hate him they better go blog somewhere else. I agree with you it became way more peaceful and I am happy with that. If there will be more interaction between the users it will be a much better place. Let's go for that.
