Steem Women club Engagement Contest1/My Father, My Honor/

Beautiful day for the beautiful women and fruitful day to the good men here!
After a few months of rest laying low from the pandemic and the typhoon , I cannot resist myself to write again.
Missing those steeming activities, longing for positive aura brought by other steemians.
And now for my first entry on this fresh new day.
I want to share the most important man in my life. My influencer, my honorable man. No other than my father.

He is very important to my life. His name is Isaias and I really do not know why he was named after a prophet by my grandmother , different from the common names of his siblings.
Not because he is simply my father that I considered him important. One of the reasons top on my list is he molded me and my ten siblings the values of patience ,kindness and being humble. He said , "with those virtues will born respect".

Another top on my list is ,being a giver. Not only of material things but of hope and encouragement to those who need it. My father loved to adopt kids at my age in elementary and high school to help them go to school . He is not wealthy but he knows he can help and find a way.
Giving is not just a feeling to be kind but because you feel them and their needs.
My father is a package of calmness. Seldom we can hear him shouting at us when he was angry. His discipline are whips of guava's small branches . It hurts but it did not break our hearts. Because after we are disciplined we will have an ice cream and a small talk giving us reasons to understand why we are punished . We fully felt that was an act with so much love that he did not want us to grow up to become a problem to other people around us.

I did watch my father when he worked for us. That was a series of late night sleeps just to meet his office deadlines. And I miss those times when I pretended sleeping beside him working so he could carry me to my bes and cover me those soft blankets .
That was the most secure moment fir me when I was a child.
Now he is 88 years old. Though I travel almost 4 to 5 hours to visit him I make my best to do it. I know what I can do for him is not enough. Even changing his diapers or massaging his weak and ached hands and ams is so little compared to what he did for us .
Even at times that he forgot our names and call us by other names , it is his love that guide us through. At times when he would not eat his favorite meals just to give it to us. I thank God more than you know that we have you. May we can give you happiness of heart , because its the best that we can give to you.

For now this is all that I can share .
