Style in Motion – My Entry for the 21-Second Fashion Edit Contest

Fashion is not just the cloth we wear, its more than that, it tells a story. It shows our mood, personality, and even confidence. For this 21 seconds video editing contest, I want to show how fashion connects with motion, light, and feeling.
This is my participation in the video editing contest hosted by @alejos7ven
This contest involves creating a commercial fashion ad from royalty free videos and audio.
I'm very happy to participate in this contest, to be creative and show my skills, though I'm not perfect, but I put in my very best.

The idea behind this video is to show how clothes can boost your confidence. From the walk, to the camera angles, to the energy, everything is suppose reflect elegance and boldness.
I didn't want it long, so I kept it short, also following the rules of the contest. I just focused on making the outfit and body movement speak for themselves. It is short and sharp, but a whole lot of meaning.

I used Pixabay to find royalty-free stock videos. I used search terms like “fashion slow motion”, “model walking”, and “fashion shoot”.
I selected 4 clips — all of them with clear quality and better fashion aesthetics.
Then I used CapCut, I first trimmed the clips down to make them fit 21 seconds.
I then slow down two of the clips a little bit so the video would have that cinematic touch.

I picked the background music from the Google Drive folder which @alejos7ven provided. I made sure that the beat was in sync with the clip transitions.
I used simple, clean fonts for the intro and outro. The text entered with fade-in and fade-out.
For the closing scene, I added an imaginary fashion brand that I call @urbanthreadsNG, just to give it that branding feel.
I also added the cover image of the video, in relation to fashion.

The hardest part was to find clips that matched each other. Some had better motion but low quality. Some looked fine but did not fit the vibe.
Another challenge was how to present the full message in just 21 seconds, I wouldn't lie, it was tough. But after I tested different transitions, deleted some clips, and re-timed the music, I got something that I felt made sense.

This project was very interesting, Yes, it was not easy, but it opened my eyes to new ways of telling stories with video. I enjoyed every part of the process, from finding clips to syncing the beats.

Estilo en Movimiento – Mi Participación para el Concurso de Edición de Moda de 21 Segundos

La moda no es solo la ropa que vestimos, es más que eso: cuenta una historia. Muestra nuestro estado de ánimo, personalidad e incluso confianza. En este concurso de edición de video de 21 segundos, quiero mostrar cómo la moda conecta con el movimiento, la luz y las emociones.
Esta es mi participación en el concurso de edición de video organizado por @alejos7ven. Este concurso consiste en crear un anuncio de moda comercial con videos y audio libres de regalías.
Estoy muy feliz de participar en este concurso, de ser creativa y demostrar mis habilidades; aunque no soy perfecta, doy lo mejor de mí.

La idea detrás de este video es mostrar cómo la ropa puede aumentar tu confianza. Desde la forma de caminar hasta los ángulos de cámara y la energía, se supone que todo refleja elegancia y audacia.
No quería que fuera largo, así que lo mantuve corto, siguiendo también las reglas del concurso. Me concentré en que el atuendo y el movimiento del cuerpo hablaran por sí solos. Es corto y conciso, pero con un gran significado.

Usé Pixabay para encontrar videos de stock libres de regalías. Utilicé términos de búsqueda como "moda cámara lenta", "modelo caminando" y "sesión de moda".
Seleccioné cuatro clips, todos con una calidad nítida y una estética de moda mejorada.
Luego, usé CapCut y recorté los clips para que ocuparan 21 segundos.
Luego, ralenticé un poco dos de los clips para que el video tuviera ese toque cinematográfico.

Seleccioné la música de fondo de la carpeta de Google Drive que me proporcionó @alejos7ven. Me aseguré de que el ritmo estuviera sincronizado con las transiciones de los clips.
Utilicé fuentes sencillas y limpias para la intro y la outro. El texto se introdujo con fundidos de entrada y salida. Para la escena final, añadí una marca de moda imaginaria a la que llamo @urbanthreadsNG, solo para darle ese toque de marca.
También añadí la imagen de portada del vídeo, relacionada con la moda.

Lo más difícil fue encontrar clips que encajaran entre sí. Algunos tenían mejor movimiento, pero la calidad era baja. Otros se veían bien, pero no encajaban con la onda.
Otro reto fue cómo presentar el mensaje completo en tan solo 21 segundos; no voy a mentir, fue difícil. Pero después de probar diferentes transiciones, eliminar algunos clips y reprogramar la música, conseguí algo que me pareció coherente.

Este proyecto fue muy interesante. Sí, no fue fácil, pero me abrió los ojos a nuevas formas de contar historias con video. Disfruté cada parte del proceso, desde encontrar los clips hasta sincronizar el ritmo.
Me encantaría que lo vieran y me contaran qué les pareció. Estoy abierto a aprender y a mejorar para la próxima vez.
